Thanks for another great review. I hadn't heard of Miracle Mile but now I think I'll give it a whirl. Any plans for when this series is done? Since I stumbled on your channel I've went back and watched most of your videos. They're fantastic. I hope you see fit to continue creating content is some form. Thanks again!

Just recently found your commentaries and have been totality enjoying them! I did wonder why one of my favorite 80's movies was not reviewed... then I saw today's post! Miracle Mile is probably one of my top ten movies from that time period. Thanks for sharing this, you made my week!

I never saw this one, but it looks like a worthwhile watch. And I'm glad someone in Hollywood thought of filming at the La Brea Tar Pits.

My first job out of USC 1985 was at TICOR at the beginning of the Miracle Mile on Wilshire Blvd. It was an interesting LA location for a kid from from Laguna with a Billy Idol look. My life then was like MTV's Laguna Beach and The Hills. In 1988, TICOR transferred me to DC, so I could live St. Elmo's Fire.

I love the genre switch up this movie did. Its a boy-meets-girl story that turns into a race against time

I absolutely love this movie. Even at 11 years old, I grasped how crazy and visceral it was. Thanks for the review!

Total nuclear annihilation is coming back uber oddly enough... I love the "all night adventures" theme 80's films. There were hundreds of them back then, all with surreal and odd things happening to the characters. I wish they come back.

I saw this back in the 80s and it gets relentless and gut-wrenching. Watching it now, with the events in Ukraine, will turn you into a nervous wreck.

Oh, I have been looking for this movie online for years. I recorded it on vhs ages ago and I just love the pace of the movie and the one day (or 2 maybe) love story with such sad ending.

The voice of Chip was done by Raphael Sbarge ("Beauty And The Beast", 80s TV version).

Hi Morgan what are your thoughts on Miami vice movie?
@oldesertguy96162 жыл бұрын
When you describe how matter-of-factly we handled the threat of nuclear war, it strikes a nerve. You're so dead-on that it was just a part of life in the Cold War. So much a part of life that you just accepted it and moved on, and only a few people actually spent a lot of time worrying about it. Life went on, until it didn't, seemed to be the standard viewpoint. I mean, we still had Miami Vice to watch, so how bad could it be?

The story of how this got made is as interesting as the film itself.

I think that in a way, this film sums up what the Cold War taught us Gen-X'ers beautifully: life eventually ends - one way or another, so make the best of it, and enjoy. Young people these days...they get bent out of shape over trivial things, while we were happy just to wake up to another day. Times were definitely different before technology took over. On that note, I cound a copy of this on DVD a few years ago...forgot how good it was! 🙂

This was definitely a funny movie and was very funny. Cusack made the movie as well as Curtis Armstrong who was very hilarious as he was just about ready to be Bugar in Nerds. However Dan Schneider later became a vey controversial pedophile and was finally fired for his unprofessional behavior with the young teen stars. As in pedophilia. And I really don't understand why that wasn't mentioned girl. And Cusack actually walked out at the premier of the film. Then he then did One Crazy Summer which was funny ss well. And for some reason Savage remains to put drawings that seem to come to life on the page. Just as they did in Better off Dead. Idk why. I guess Steve enjoyed having animations come to life on the pages and..more of the same.
