@Ho Chi Wang I come from a long line of soldiers , my country is at peace now , but I always have the urge to join the military and go to war like my father , my uncles and our forefathers ..... Maybe that is why these boys do what they do , the warrior blood run in their veins . As long as they are not fighting against their own country , and killing their own people for the sake of some foreign entities , I think it is all fair games.

@donfelipe7510

Absolutely the Gurkhas have stood side by side British and other commonwealth soldiers through some very dark times. People say that the tradition of taking young Nepalese men into our armed forces is a legacy of Empire and therefore automatically a bad thing. I disagree, these men are volunteers, not conscripts and they receive a lot of opportunities that would otherwise not be available in Nepal which is still a very poor country. They're like the British equivalent of the French Foreign Legion.

What fantastic young gentlemen these lads are, and so effortlessly polite. They are wonderful ambassadors for their country and I trust they will be treated better than their forebears who we were about to deport until Joanna Linley and other good people stepped in and fought their corner. We owe a huge debt to them for their courage and fortitude, not to mention unquestioning loyalty in our darkest hours. I wish every one of you rainbows and a fantastic military career. Be safe lads and look after the man on your left and the man on your right at all times.

These nice young men who are so lovely and polite will develop into some of the most feared soldiers in the world. My father served with Gurkhas in WW2 and he and all his comrades had the utmost respect for them and their fighting skills. My father spent time in the middle east and Africa during the war and said that most of the people out there were afraid of the Ghurkhas and would get out of their way if they were walking anywhere. What lovely young men these are. So excited to see different things! They look so young too! What a culture shock it must be to them to come to the UK and such a different way of living.

When the Gurkhas were the “duty” regiment on the Falklands there was no fighting or crime on the island amongst the army, compared to the usual grunts. They are the most humble and nicest people you could ever meet. I worked on the aircraft taking them down there and they were no trouble whatsoever and were absolutely genuinely so easy to get on with. We should be humble that they should show allegiance to our dysfunctional country.

@@dickmonkey-king1271 bruh not really they're just asking for equal pay for amount of work they do. They'll most likely settle in U. K
@dickmonkey-king1271
@dickmonkey-king1271 2 жыл бұрын
@@adamm3565 That's not how economics works. The value of how much you get paid can only be known by how much things cost. For example, a UK solider gets paid £10 an hour because it costs an average of £10 to buy a dinner, for example. In Nepal they get paid £1 an hour because it costs £1 to buy the same meal. It's entirely relative. If Gurka's earned what UK solider earned then Gurka's would live like kings compared to the UK soldiers, so equal pay is actually unequal for the UK soldiers. Most Gurka's will still want to live in Nepal because it is their home. But if they got paid the same amount as UK soldiers then they'd be so rich that every young man in Nepal would grow up just so focused on becoming a Gurka. Why would you train to be a lawyer or a doctor if you can earn 100x more being a Gurka?
