Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven is slowly becoming one of my favourite rock anthems to play - "I Have Never Seen Anyone Play Led Zeppelin Like That!" is what the couple says! How cool is that. I think I put in that extra bit of energy in the end, channelling myself through the music into the piano. Like I said in my 'Behind the scene of "The Piano"' video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHPYfGh8Zq6chZY - if I knew it was being judged for something like Royal Festival Hall, then this is probably what I would have chosen. I love big rock anthems, I connect with them more, and well - I think you can tell I love playing them!

@@ColeLam Cole, the Zeppelin catalog is very varied. Their songs were influenced by blues and oriental sounds. It would be interesting for you to listen and choose. There are fantastic songs like Kashmir, The Rain Song, All My Love (maybe you like this one, Robert Plant wrote it for his son who died at the age of five), there are so many, it’s hard to say. I trust your choice, any Zepp song will be great 😊

It’s a loss to all the people that didn’t stop to listen. One time I stopped to hear a violinist playing a classical piece in the DC Metro. Turned out he he was world famous and was playing a very old and valuable violin. Cole you are awesome.

Led Zeppelin was good, but when Rush formed, just brilliant..and I mostly stopped listening to Zep. Especially once Neil Peart (Pea-Yurt) joined, Ohhh...Enki. I didn't like Stairway of Heaven, it was too religious for me. As for the people..and music - most music after 2010 is pure junk, especially with the advent of Auto-Tune and Rap becoming, somehow, more popular. I've heard people playing Rush music using a piano, and I'll tell you, if you come into a song after the person has been playing for a bit, it can be challenging to know *what* the person is playing. I knew from the beginning of this, and I didn't need the title, to know what song he is going to play. But had I been there, or anywhere, after it had gotten started...I wouldn't have been able to tell. With an Electric Guitar, I would have. Drums, I might be able to tell. I know he plays well, and that's what I would have been enjoying. Though the piano isn't my favorite instrument I adore listening when people are actually playing *something* rather than using some kind of lame machine doing sampling. Auto-Tune I cannot handle, that's for people who don't sing well, and shouldn't be singing at all. It sounds horrible. For a lot of people, if it isn't "Pop" junk they don't know what a song is. I don't listen to Pop, and I know a lot of people, at least around where I am, listen to horrible Rap stuff, and are blowing our their ears with over-done bass, so I don't hear a lot of GOOD music anymore from cars. Once in a while.. It also depends where you are on this Earth, some people know Zed Zeppelin and others...not at all. I love Marvel movies, but was very disappointed that not a single Rush song made it into "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies for being such an influential band. I dig his passion, not a song choice I would go with, but...the passion matters and that's why I would have stopped for a little while. Led Zeppelin doesn't really appeal to me much anymore, BUT he didn't sing the lyrics, so...I might have stayed to watch him getting into it because of that.

I lived in Paris for awhile. There was one accordion player that I really loved hearing, but I rarely, if ever, had time to stand and watch for more than the time it took to throw a few francs into his plate. Then I had to get on to work. In order to watch him for just 5 minutes, I would have had to leave earlier - and he wasn't there every day. So, sometimes you just have to enjoy the riches you find along the way, and be glad that *today* he was there for you. And in case you're thinking I could have just taken the next metro: I was headed for my job at Orly Airport via the connecting train. I can't remember anymore, but the train only ran once every 10 or 20 minutes, so I had a schedule I had to keep.

I’ve listened to several of Cole’s compositions on the piano. Somehow with only 88 keys ( mostly less than 88), he can make anything he plays sound like an entire orchestra! Stairway to Heaven was the prom theme of the first prom I attended way back when. I ended up being lifetime friends with the guy that I went to the prom with but this song holds a special place in my heart that longs for simpler times.

OMG !!! This was absolutely the most beautifulest piano playing song I have ever heard. It brings back the good old days when I was young. If I were there I probably would have shouted out BRAVO BRAVO! You should get yourself an agent and have agent book you for the performing arts in front of hundreds of people to listen to how you play your piano so so eloquently. Thank you for being on KZbin. WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cole, this one was an experience (back in my day we would have called it a trip). Loved the pianist, loved the song selection, loved the energy and passion. You took a true classic, played it as well, or better than anyone could and then blew it out of the water by exploding into it with that Cole Lam genius. Fantastic cover. I usually just shut my eyes and just listen to the song being played. But watching you and hearing the arrangement you put together was inspiring. you took us on a musical journey that was way above what i thought I could be. Dear Cole, I’ve listened to other piano covers, to me none other captured the force the rich sound and melody and rhythm as yours. Just brilliant! 😊truly captivating. Same feeling triggered as if i was listening to actual led zeppelin live versions. Really there’s Robert singing, the drums, bass, guitar all in you and your playing and now i will also forever hear your piano whenever i listen to them. What a treat!
