I live near LAX . After midnight they route arrivals over the ocean and bring them in on the northside to 6L. That is probably why they have 25 take offs make the early turn out. Normally during the day you get RNAV Hyper or Docker . Great video.. love your stuff.. thanks for sharing :) - {glad to see you use the awesome Toliss airplanes.. have over 1200hrs in them and soon we will have a fully capable efb with T/O and landing cals + CPDLC :) ]

Does the autopilot use the VHF signal from the localizer to stay aligned with centerline after touchdown or some type of camera/sensor?

Correct the localizer guides the plane down the runway. This leads down the path of just because the plane is capable doesn't mean the runway and facilities are.

Why was CAT III not able to be used?

Restricted Captains can not do a Cat III unless they are using a specific FAA Exemption 5549.
