I wish the ice and snow had a lasted a little longer, I missed the frozen fountain at the Legislature grounds too. Haha, Gavin your narrative on Adam while he was in the river, hilarious. I have had planned days out before and nothing was worth capturing on the day sometimes which is a bugger but you guys had good craic by the looks of it at the end of the day which is sometimes more important. The PCs can slow well down when you add photos and videos, especially with your work load at 4k, you can get a better faster power supply, and a couple of ssd as it can speed things up, also an external storage device helps as it's not connected to the pc all the time, sometimes I over clock my pc for better performance it does the job. You know best anyway. Thanks for another great video. Love Adam's dance at the end lol

Although it’s not fun when you walk away with nothing, it’s the reality of landscape photography. There is the good, the bad and the grumpy 😜 I’ve just started sharing my photography adventures. I can feel Adam’s pain on the video editing. I prioritized editing my photos first, which from a 12 day trip, can take time just to cull thru. Keep up the great work gents. You guys are a dynamic duo. 👍

@mlevesque335 жыл бұрын
Gavin, it may take you 5 days to edit your videos because of all the crap you film but in the end, the result is great because of your sense of humour and the photos you take. Your videos are quite unique. I like seeing videos of you and uncle Grumpy together. I'm not saying you should always be together but you two are a nice duo.
@wendynewing88345 жыл бұрын
I feel your pain for the lack of successful images, but that was such fun to watch. Uncleous grumperlous filmed in its natural habitat ... wonderful. Also, because you are so experienced in photographing such a magnificent landscape, you ignore images that I would just have to shoot. I would have had to take a picture of that scene of the snow covered trees and wooden bridge as you left the landscape shoot. For me, here in the south west of the U.K., that was a great scene, despite the flat light. Very exotic.

Hey Gavin, I think what impacts premiere most is the hard disk read & write speed... ideally your project file & premiere should be installed on separate drives.... Preferably an SSD... Once the edit is done you can transfer all data to your SATA 6Tb HDD for storage/backup ...
@jonathangardnerphotography5 жыл бұрын
Agree with this. Even better if you can get an M.2 drive(s). Separate the OS disk from your working disk. If you can’t go to SSDs or M.2, doing RAID 0 could help a bit. Also, back everything up. Ax me how I know...

I use DaVinci Resolve 16 for editing and if you do a lot of time lapse all you do is drag your images in and its does the clip for you. super fast. And you can go into the luts and add color all that good stuff. awesome for 4k. I use it for my drone footage. Photo shop is still awesome, but for time on video. Go to resolve. Easy to use.

Totally agree about time editing, Adam is spot on, it’s all about getting the images to the best quality, or your just a vlogger with a camera lol. Gavin try doing 2.7k instead of 4K it’s works just as well. Storage is a massive problem tho. One trip to Northumberland 80 gig with images.
