All the haters of Drill Sergeant L****ty in AIT were jerkin after lights out. I lived to f*ck up around her. At the end of AIT, she came up to me & said"When you leave the Army make sure it's with Stripes". I told her"I don't plan on leaving the Army" She turned around looked at me up & down rolled her eyes & mumbled, "MMMHMM". She was spot on....I did leave the army after 8 years with Stripes. Changed MOS after re-enlisting in the early 90's. I went from 11B series all male Battalion back to AIT for school for 91 series MOS when reporting to the barracks for the first time at 23:00 on a Friday night, I encountered the First Female Drill Sergeant I had ever seen. She looked me over as I was trying to figure out why she was wearing a "Aussie Bush Hat". I was so used to being in an all male environment that I didn't even realize that there were female DI's . Needless to say I was brought into the 21st century very quickly!

When I went to AIT our bus arrived early and we were sent to the day room. When we got in there, there were people already in there. There was a female in PTs that was cute about 5'2" and super fit. I tried to talk to her and she said where was my battle buddy. She didn't want me to get jammed up for being out of pocket. So I called my Battle over. I introduced her to Cabrera and asked if she had a battle for him to talk to. She smiled and yelled BATTLE BUDDY!!!!!!!!!! This 6 ' 3" monster came running in the day room. The female was a drill that had just got back from sick call. They smoked Me and CB until the other buses pulled up. Then for about a month when ever I saw her she made me push until she left my line of sight. It was horrible, PX, Chow Hall, Court Yard, Hall way, walking past our room it didn't matter. It was rough, but she was fine though.
