I was front row at a comedy show yrs ago before I really knew about him. It was a terrible night, and I really did t want to be there. He asked everybody at our table to participate in a joke & I refused… what happened next was comedy gold. He went off script for the rest of the show about my refusal to participate. He wasn’t disrespectful or demeaning… he was just hillarious. He started doing his same stand up in a Chris Rock voice to “make us feel more comfortable”. After his set I met him at the bar & told him I thought he was hilarious. He simply said “thanks man, we’re here to have a good time. Don’t be the guy that comes to a comedy show and doesn’t want to laugh”. He was cool as hell. A year later he won comedian of the year.

That's what I like about Bill, he doesn't care who he pisses off. An equal opportunity offender.

Love how people watch a Burr video and automatically start thinking they're witty and funny

Doesn't Bill Maher remind you of the burn victom in the waiting room scene in Beetlejuice?

Never noticed it until now! I knew he reminded of something, maybe that's it.

The more I listen to Bill Maher the more I see that he has changed. He has gained common sense.

Was unlawfully arrested and incarcerated in June 2020 for NOT WEARING A MASK in public on public land...

I could see this happening in June 2020-three months after the lockdown-and it was the very definition of a novel virus. So many people didn't understand (& probably still don't) the concept of a surgical mask. They keep shit in, not out. I never understood the controversy of wearing a mask. Sure, it sucked to wear one, but come on. Even if wearing one did nothing, how big of a deal was it to wear? It reminds me of when some people refused to wear their seatbelts. They're both a couple of odd hills to die on.
