I believe Monique fully. She has every right to say no, but she doesn't get the Right to decide how those people react to it. She stood on business for sure. Even when you stand on business you must be ready to deal with any consequences of your decision. Now why hasn't anyone asked Monique this, "If you feel legally you were done wrong, why haven't you brought litigation in the past 15 years?" Thesee people outside of Lee won't apologize and/or make you whole just because you talk to anyone that will listen.

@mariahyohannes2 жыл бұрын
@@n.m.2174 Well now I see where your ignorance is coming from. You have no idea what you are actually talking about. In this interview Monique & Steve are referring to the situation with her and Lee Daniels. Lee asked Monique if she could promote the movie precious overseas, Monique was willing to do so but she was only going to do it if she was going to be paid for her time and work, Lee told her NO, he said he wasn't paying her anything to go overseas and promote the movie, she was not contractually obligated to do so, so she was entitled to turn down FREE labor, especially since she had just become an Oscar winning actress. After that Lee asked Tyler Perry to talk to Monique and he did and Tyler agreed with Monique that she should be paid for going to promote the movie overseas, he told her he knew exactly where she was coming from and empathized with her, only for Tyler to turn around and tell the public the EXACT opposite of the conversation they had where he agreed with her. Once she found out that he went back on the things he said privately to her, she called him and recorded the conversation, where he once again agreed with everything she said privately, people were calling her difficult and hard to work with so she proved to the world that Tyler was two faced and couldn't stand on his word. It was completely wrong and upsetting for Lee to think that Monique should have promoted the movie for free, but of course Lee has no integrity and that's why Dame Dash had to publicly expose Lee for never returning the two million dollar loan he owed Dame. Monique never personally attacked anyone, she never cursed them nor did she insult them, she simply told her side of the story. As far as Oprah goes, she is the grimiest out of all the people who Monique had a problem with. Oprah and Monique were friends at one point, Oprah asked Monique if she could interview her family and her, Monique was not able to do the interview but told Oprah she could still invite her mother and father and her brother, Oprah then ask can we interview your brother who molested and raped you & Monique told her NO, Monique did not want to see her brother on national Television talking about how he raped his sister and Oprah agreed, Oprah said she wouldn't bring him on the show. Well once the day of the interview came and it was being aired on TV low and behold Oprah brings out Moniques brother who raped her although Monique told her not to. I don't understand how any of you think that type of betrayal is justified.

You’re either worried about the money or worried about the truth, which is where integrity lives. Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. You don’t have to worry about how you will eat (your labor being what feeds you), when God will supply as long as you hold fast to your integrity. These scriptures below are in the same chapter… Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

If you're going to be in their game you gotta play by the rules. He's right. She's has self imposed issues as most of us. I hope she finds her way and let's go of the bitterness and past.

Nope. You can embark on a new path that changes the rules of an existing game.

@@stanleyreed9055 Yeah, when you have power and status. When you have the rulebook in hand and have that opportunity then sure you can but not as someone a nobody nor a person who is known as "difficult". Unless some people with power agree with her, that sail isnt going anywhere

She is a perfect example of an employee not good at taking orders from her employers. This could be an example in leadership classes on how to deal with talented but very stubborn and opinionated employees

Her employer (Lee Daniels) asked her to work and promote a movie FOR FREE when she wasn't contractually obligated to do so. Good to know you're willing to work for free. There's a word for that...

Good for Mo. She deserved her flowers when she said what she said and the crowd gave her nonothing. Stand up for your integrity before money. Steve is wrong on all ends, stay strong Mo, you still got your fans that'll come out for you. Dave Chappelle doing it, proving Steve Harvey wrong every day.

2:01 Inequality based on ticket sales is biased but its also based on her production of ticket sales. She didn't make a lot compared to other comedians or other artists. She's calling for weird comedian socialism. No. Not how that works in this country

TB Youmans not he is not right. He is all for white supremacy and trash. She shouldn’t have to bagg down her opinions based off what he saying he don’t even move the fucking culture
@mouthofthesouth42674 жыл бұрын
I think she's meaning he's right about the way you go about things matters..... like when he was explaining to Mo, that her telling Tyler Perry and Oprah that if she had a dick she'd tell them to suck it, was probably not the best thing to have said, and on that point I too have to agree with Steve. I am not speaking for @TB Youmans but I am only giving my thoughts on what she means by saying the "he's right".
@Theohybrid4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he basically burned her bridges and said, "why didnt you fight for me?'? HUH!?!?!???? Why would anybody fight for you after that???? She blackballed herself. Steve Harvey is right, you work with those who have money to make money. And many of them happen to be white. Cutting off prominent figures of your local community doesn't incur trust of any kind. Even if they agree. She's a loose cannon that shouldnt be worked with. She wants money and her own way and they are incompatible.
