I loved the modulations over the vamp during the 1:20 - 1:25 range. More of this artistry please! It's a small thing to most listeners, but it's next level when you add that tasty phrasing to your outstanding technique and funkiness.

what most ppl probably dont realize is how the difference in size of the frets & strings requires the hand to adapt. Charles able to shift between both so seamlessly really showcases his massive skill 🔥

I've been playing professionally for 45 years. I've played with some amazing performers. You are on another level. Having a headless for such a beast of an instrument is the best idea tbh. Saves on weight and vastly improves tuning stability. Awesome playing as always Charles 🤜🤛

Seeing you play guitar and bass in this video makes me wonder if you could contrast what skills you would have if you had played guitar instead for your whole life. Great tones! Even greater song! Both the guitar and the bass tones sound amazing! The bass one (and the song itself) just reminded me the to the Jaco Pastorious' Weather Report era with that thick warm bass tone (although your bass is not fretless) and the funky jazz-rock (fusion) sound they had back then.
