Hey Guys! I guess I'm in a bit of a Krieg mood. I'm going to try to get weekly animations out along with my bigger monthly ones. The quality may be a little inconsistent for a while with these weekly animations but I wanted to push myself. I'm hoping I'll just adapt to the new workload and the quality balances out. We'll see how it goes. Oh and this is probably the closest we'll ever get to a Krieg space marine. Hope you guys enjoy!

In this case it's more like "Till your life is done." A single Krieger's barely going to do shit, they're still Guardsmen weaker then most Xenos enemies. But together they can accomplish alot with enough troops, support, firepower, and tactics. But that's why we Guardsmen, Astartes are the epic badass mass killers of enemies, but it's that weakness compared to most enemies and the courage to fight anyway that makes the guardsmen of any regiment so inspiring. They're the average every day man like us.

Fun fact: the Kriegsmen weren't out of ammo, since laspacks can be easily recharged. They just intercepted the T'au chatter and wanted to teach the blueberries a lesson. Also, Hanz had picked a really dope song to chad walk across no mans land.

I was under the impression the primary reason the imperium favors a weapon as weak as the las rifle is it's low cost and ease of manufacture combined with the reduced need for supply lines for a weapon that can be recharged in the field from sun light or any functioning power sources hell a campfire even works in a pinch. This makes the whole hold the line bit a heck of alot easier since even completely surrounded they still at least can fire their basic las riffles even if they are out of everything else.

They dealt with a majority of Imperium's problems and did fine but the problem is now the remaining enemies of the imperium are just that advanced or too tough/troublesome to deal with that standard weaponry is not enough unless its just similar opponents like chaos guardsmen.

​@@snow1wolfLasguns have many advantages over Autoguns. Rechargeable ammo (logistics an army onky needs 3 - 5 types of powerpack as well) No moving part Very accurate over long distances. They can be used as a melee weapon They actually are very good against certain targets. And they do pack enough of a punch that if you hit a space marine in the right spot you can put him down with one shot. (Granted do that while he charging you, by yourself is another thing entirely.) To quote the KZbin channel time warriors (their Space Marine walk through): everyone thinks it a good idea to charge a Lasline, until they charge a Lasline

@@lostShadowLord plus Lasguns have an Overload setting that everyone forgets about. in the old Only War RPG rules, getting shot 3 times a turn by 1d10+5, Pen 2, hurts like a motherfucker for most "Normal" targets and even a space marine at absolute bare-ass minimum can eat 18 damage between his armor and his insane toughness. factor in that you're eating volley after volley of lasfire and it WILL eventually get through, you just have to roll enough 10s on the damage die to inflict that minimum of 1 point. enough fire will get into a tank's viewport, or a sensitive exhaust area, or something.

This is a common misconception, you just never see a kriegsman with ammo as that means they’re shelling you from beyond the horizon, and your general direction is going to be made non-existent.

Some constructive criticism: The shovel swing animation falls a bit flat because it's too slow when it hits, so it doesn't feel like it would do much damage, and the constant speed of the swing makes it feel a bit robotic and less "physical". There should be some acceleration to the movement, and it would be a good idea to swing some objects of various weights, shapes and sizes around to get a feel for how much acceleration there should be (keeping the relative strength difference between you and the character being animated in mind of course). Aside from that the animation is great, the voice acting combined with the gestures and body language really sell the emotional state of the characters.
