Know how you feel to a certain extent at least. Mine was with me for 7 yrs & her damned cats & stuff is still here. Will be dealing with it in less than a year if she doesn't. I ended up with health issues that are going away now. I've been so damned frustrated about it today like sitting here what the heck am I supposed to do. I wish I could raise my daughter I think it's the best thing for my daughter to be with someone who doesn't talk to her so harshly like her foster parent does. Ugh. It's such a cluster #&*' of nonsense I and the narc got myself into. Course I saw the signs but that doesn't mean I knew to act on them at the time when they happened, I do now but it's too late for my daughter's childhood. Frustrating. Pretty much all I do now is earn money, learn & health. Thinking about it a lot today because I was going to call my state appointed attorney but it just seems so damned pointless with everyone against me the way they are. My interactions with my attorney had a really bad vibe something is off there. Not really even just a vibe her actions are that of someone who doesn't have my back.

Funny that you posted a video on this topic this very moment. I 32 M , am decluttering around 600 plus books, my precious manga collection, anime DVDs, and diecast model planes. Funnily enough, as soon as I said I am decluttering 80% of my stuff no matter my narc father was shut down to the max. Like I destroyed A.I programming. He behaves like a pharisee and I called him out on his mental illness. Now that I am more assertive, he's not literally in the house anymore. It has always been existential. I was adopted to be used as an energy feeding device. But now that I have a good job 2 x hours away. He is threatened. I would rather face homelessness a second time in order to grow and learn than be patronised and infantilised in an open air prison called "home".

Great video Terry. Can relate a lot to that reality and video!!! And I feel much better since I put a stop and say enough to the narcissistic abuse from my supposed former best friend a year ago. And when I finally took my courage and expose him and tell him what he really was, he explode in rage mode like never before.... But that was the end of it. Is final pathetic attempt to bring me down. And I had his narcissistic injury's of course. It took me 6 month to heal from him completely and all of his madness. But now I finally feel much better and my life is going to the right direction. As I wasted enough time and energy with the narcissist!!! In the end, I cut all ties with him, his family and his friends. And that was the best decision of my life.
