Crazy how recently the fortunes of both the Capitals and Panthers have flipped over one thing I’ll say about the Panthers is that’s especially now since they’re extremely competitive they should market the team way more trust me as a local FL Panthers marketing is almost nonexistent in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area the place they represent trust me I know I’m a Miami local

The barn gets filled up very easily now so I doubt they need the ads but I agree the panthers have always been terrible at marketing. At least it’s loud in the barn regularly. I think people ofc got sick and tired after a dozen plus years of no playoffs but as soon as people saw change they came back. Only time will tell if it lasts but it’s been a few years already like this

The Leap year theory is great out of the box thinking. The only thing that could've possibly made this story better was if they actually got him. (or if they got him in a late round which would mean that other teams had to pass on him multiple times. That would have been weird as hell.)

I mean, I don’t blame the Panthers front office for trying to bend the rules a bit to get a generational talent, but when the league starts threatening to pull your draft pick, that should have been the sign to give up right there. The fact they kept attempting to do it in later rounds has me wondering what they thought the outcome would be.

Im sure the league denied the request because they wanted to make money with views promoting him being #1 for several months, they make zero money if Florida drafts him in the last round the year before. Also is easier to live with one team being upset over 29 other teams being REALLY upset.
