Hello Danni - I've been a subscriber for close to four years now, and your videos have helped me tremendously. I am from the Caribbean, and started collecting orchids from late 2019 to early 2020. So far, I have in my collection Dendrobiums, Phals, Cattleya, a few Epidendrum species, Vandas, and a few other ground orchids. It's been a trip and a journey with getting to know each specie and how to care for them - thanks to your channel. For this year, my Dendrobiums gave me a host of various coloured pink blooms; some big, some small - but what a pleasant surprise!! My Cattleyas are growing strong, but no blooms. Some of my orchids have almost died, but I was able to save them - thanks to you, and a few other KZbin channels which I also subscribe to. Love your advice, and a THANK YOU to you. Keep it up!

Aphyllum and how you care about it if it’s still live. I also have some aphyllum which gave me bunch of keiki last year and I would love to hear about yours. I am keeping my mother plant out side this year and I have one keiki experimenting in door.looking forward to see if I can get any blooms this spring. How do you determine if a recovering phalaenopsis orchid is strong enough to bloom again? Last year i bought an orchid with no roots that i nursed back to health. It has healthy roots again and put out 2 leaves (smaller than the original 2 leaves but still healthy leaves) it has a new flower spike developing from the base but i worry it isnt strong enough yet to be left to bloom. How do you know when an orchid is strong enough to be left alone to bloom, and when you should remove blooming spikes to prevent energy waste? Edit: it still has 2 of its original leaves as well.

Danni, I have a phal with a keiki that also has one bud! It’s growing on the node, on the keiki. I have never seen this! They came out together, same time. Please help, what should I do? The keiki has one root growing. The mother plant looks fine.
