This is my favorite format for your content. The solver videos make my eyes cross, but the table simulator is more understandable because it's easier to follow the action with your commentary.

what do you guys think of this one? does it make sense why we want to turn bluff catchers into bluffs when our opponent has a LINEAR value range?

How do you memorize each spot? Or is it just depending what the dynamic of the table & game is live.
@kyleanderson99335 ай бұрын
@@RayCarpioHe doesn’t.. What he does do and is trying to show is using other determining factors to exploitatively come to the Highest EV play possible in live poker against severely unbalanced players.i.e., capped range, villain type, bet size, villains line, over/under bluffed spot and other heuristics for live poker that will make you way more money and save you way more time than trying to memorize what the solver is doing at equilibrium in every single spot. It’s good to know to get a baseline or foundation of theory but should be node-locked for extreme imbalances of players in live poker not just taking it at face value to justify a bad play that was made against a whale live. If anyone’s serious about poker join his bootcamp to grow your roll and your BFA.😊

on the QT hand what's the thought process behind the xr sizing? Do you think $565 buys enough extra fold equity vs $350-400. Are you specifically trying to hit a slight overbet (1.2-1.3x) size in these spots? If villain has watched/faced a big river bet from you a few times, does that matter to your sizing choice?
@hungryhorsepoker5 ай бұрын
when we almost never run into a brick wall (very strong hands) sizing up is good, because a bluff that is 10% too small is exponentially more expensive than a bluff that is 10% too big. as far as worrying about someone who knows what i'm doing - no.
@dot3333335 ай бұрын
@@hungryhorsepoker yeah that's a really good point. There's probably a narrow range of extreme elasticity and under shooting it a bit is way worse than over shooting it a bit. Thanks for the response!

Mark, love your thought process. I've implemented a number of your ideas and its has paid dividends at the table. Would love to see you dissect some of your HCL hands and some adaptations you make because it is streamed. Unfortunately, I only play 30 hours a month live, otherwise I'd be interested in your training.
@hungryhorsepoker5 ай бұрын
appreciate the kind words! i’ve put out a few videos dissecting some hcl hands in the past. coming soon - i’m playing $5/5 (same stakes most our students play) and trying to win $100/hr and vlogging the whole process. i would say we have the 50 hrs as a recommendation, not a hard limit. if your goal is to play $5/10 or bigger the roi would still be +++ for you!

Hi Mark. Your videos are incredibly valuable. I watched a lot of advanced training content. However, I noticed that the advices from Kanu7 or Uri Peleg is not so effective when you play 4 way 3bet pots 500bb deep in a live game :D Your tips are simple, but so damn effective.

Love your videos, very informative and well edited. In your opinion what would be a comfortable bankroll to play 1/3 cash game full time? ( 40 hours per week ) I live in Cambodia 6 months a year and plan to play there. Cost of living there is very cheap ( 1500$ per month ) think I'm at the very least break even long term player. Thanks
@hungryhorsepoker5 ай бұрын
appreciate the kind words on the videos, but i don’t like these questions because they are impossible to answer without a ton more context. what is your long term win rate in bb/hr? do you want to save to play bigger? what are monthly expenses? etc etc etc too many personal questions so i’m never able to give a good answer. one hint: no top winning pro i ever know ever really worries about “bankroll”. it’s a rec player thing for some reason. when you win a lot, it doesn’t matter.

@@hungryhorsepoker Thanks for replying. I have played 1385 hours of live poker total playing 1/2 and netted 7253$ Thats 5,20$ per hour. Not great but not losing, obviously i have big leaks in my game but started studying a lot and trying to plug my leaks. My cost of living in Cambodia is 1500$ a month Ill have 18 000$ to play and cover my expensises while living there. Im a little worried that i might not have enough, what do you think?
