guys... WHEN are you going to get that ring out of Justin's mic?! WHEN?! It makes this unlistenable for me. It's so sharp and piercing.
@McSweetalot6 жыл бұрын
really needs to be fixed. I'm curious as to why it seems to only be on Game Scoop. I never notice it on other podcasts. Must be something with his phone? Either way it must be something on his person. I don't see how else it could be a problem only on Game Scoop but not on the other podcasts. Maybe it is on other podcasts? Has anyone noticed it on others?
@TenaciousDDP1016 жыл бұрын
McSweetalot They addressed it a while back. Justin has iron rich blood and their is nothing that can be done.
@McSweetalot6 жыл бұрын
Is that a real thing? Because I'm inclined not to believe you... Can you point to the episode and when they said that? Or anywhere on the internet that says the iron in your blood can affect microphones? Sorry if it's true. It just sounds... well... fake. Or are you joking? Maybe they were joking? I feel like I watch every week and I don't remember them saying that. Not to mention I only recently noticed the ringing. And I feel like it was significantly worse this week.

Don't agree, i think there are wonderful video game stories, on par, if not better than movies, tv, or books. Because YOU guys don't play games for narrative, doesn't mean others don't. I personally don't like games that just have great game play with no good narrative to push me along. As someone who has had an atari 2600 up until my PS4 and Xbox one, I've experienced every type of gameplay. I can only jump, punch, or throw things so much. So now I need a compelling narrative, on top of competent gameplay and systems, in order to enjoy a game. I think god of war succeeds at both, and so did petsona 5, horizon zero Dawn, nier automata, mass effect, and Dragon Age. While your eyes glazed over during dialog, i and others were riveted. And you can't say that the characters in the last of us aren't complex and wonderfully presented. So yes, there is great storytelling in gaming. And as someone who has seen blade runner 2049 and played through Detroit Become Human, there are certain moments that exceed the storytelling in Blade runner, though I think in it's entirety, blade runner 2049's story is better. So please don't think that something is less compelling to others because you don't pay attention when playing, or because it's not compelling to you.

hey man is persona 5 worth getting for a guy that never played a prrsona game? Really thinking about getting it
@thefearmakerlive6 жыл бұрын
TheChampcrisscross Heck yeah. Persona 5 was my first Persona, though I'm a turn based combat RPG fan (love final fantasy 10, Lost Odyssey, battle chasers: nightwar, etc). The first few hours, because you don't really have much control as it ushers you through the story, may bore you a bit and you'll wonder what all the fuss is about. But by the time you get through the 1st dungeon, and you have a gist of the combat system, plus you'll by then have a gist of how to handle choosing the daily activities that level you up and build bonds with your friends/teammates, you'll be in love with the game. Then it becomes addictive as you'll add new characters to your party, open up more of the city, romance some people, find new activities to level you up, and continue the story.

The Witcher 3 was a great story. I played it twice all the way through and will replay again in a couple of years.
@antoniorsoftware6 жыл бұрын
I disagree when Sam says video games are not good at telling stories. For example the first two Max Payne games have better and more complex stories than 99% of all action movies ever made. John Carpenter's The Thing is one of my favorite movies ever, but Silent Hill 2 is something completely different I never seen in a horror movie. If you like movie Blade Runner then games like Beneath The Steel Sky and Gemini Rue will make you wonder what the heck are the movie writers are even doing anymore. Then there are games like Machinarium that is such a heart warming adventure, or Cave Story which looks like a cute little game, but beneath is a dark story, you wont see Disney doing it in their animation. Video games are full of great stories.

100% agree... Way too many games showing up in the eShop these days. It’s gotten to the point where I only check the sale page because I don’t feel like digging through a billion different titles. Plus a lot of these games are being priced substantially higher than what they’re sold for in the Playstation/XBOX stores. Unfortunately we now have a watered down overpriced eShop. Swell.

It's worth pointing out that the Switch has seen 87 game announcements since E3 2018. It should be no surprise that these games will eventually release and ofcourse start a bit of a flood on the eShop.

You could argue that fake copies of games destroy the value of original games in the market and people who own a real copy of chrono trigger have now a game that is worth less than before. But that would be a minimal damage imo

For me the problem with fake SNES games is when people try to pass them off as genuine. For people that dont know they could be paying a lot of money for something they think is real. There are people on EBAY that sell as fakes and the carts are colored so you know.

I mean an official release by the manufacturer. If you burn a film to a DVD then it is fake or are you just being pedantic just to argue with someone?

I'm thinking un-authentic cartridges aren't much different from any other home made item, if someone can make a buck by making a homemade product let them. Perhaps when you're in the retirement home you'll be watching archived playthroughs of old games, in addition to those Halo LAN parties. Elysium wasn't a terrible film, it wasn't anything great but it's a decent film.

I agree with Sam that games are not as good at telling stories, but that is precisely why I watch them on KZbin any time I can’t focus on a tv show or movie as much as needed to follow a real story. I watch long plays of Zelda II often when I’m working or busy with family because I’ve played it hundreds of times and I don’t need to be engaged to know what’s going on (and the music is incredible). Other than times like these, the only time I watch games on KZbin is for guides or to see if it’s something I want to buy.
