when will my amaryllis bloom? waxed bulb

I like to grow my amaryllis in the ground the good old fashioned way. I leave the leaves on & they still bloom like crazy.

Mine only took a few weeks since sprouting new growth to bloom. They grew shockingly fast. However there was only one that had flowers so I had to seperate all the bulbs which turned out to be 18 of them that hrew from one lol

Let it it might not give many flowers this time but it will eventually

It'll still grow. Mine was the same way. Make sure it gets indirect sunlight and enjoy the blooms when they come.

sometimes some foliage comes first, just give it some time and the blooms will come soon.

How do you get the wax off or are they dipossable.?

the wax comes of easily, either by hand or use a scissor/knife, just be carefull when you use a sharp tool.

You don't need to water the waxed ones at all. After they finish flowering, you can remove the wax and get the bulbs to reflower next year🙂

You don't need to water them if they re in wax. But they won't propagate and give more bulbs. If you take them out of the wax and plant them thry will start propagating one or 2 new bulbs every year.I waited till the flowers got dry then I removed te wax and planted them.
