What you are watching is our FIRST response to her announcement. Before we took to the internet and saw what she actually meant to the community. This only displays the initial reaction to the order of events in which Bayonetta was revealed. Was she the winner? Was she the only winner? What about the other popular front runners? We never said that the roster was incomplete or inferior because of their inclusion. We never played beyonetta, and we said it didn't live up to our expectations. If we were fans, we would be excited, it's as simple as that, but the final character not appealing to a wide audience is the only reason why we seem disappointed.

Accept it already. Smash is evolving in a very good way! Every iconic nintendo characters were in the fuckn roster. I agree with what you said. There should have been closer more fan interactive reaction and response even mention of the other characters that were most requested. I guess the proper word would be closure? The presentation was good and whatever I'm happy they gave us so much content and characters. But, I wish there would have been more information on what characters were top 5 and more detail on the ballot and what goes on after the event. Oh well. I hope people wont be asking for more though cause he did his best to be fair and add characters I'm happy she joined.

Why did you cut the scene where they showed that Bayonetta actually was the Smash Ballot winner?Bayonetta was the most requested character and I am very happy, that she made it into Smash. Have never been so hyped for a character ever before (just look at her amazing, unique moveset)! To be honest, I didn´t even vote for her, she was "only" my number 2 choice (number 1 being Paper Mario, 3,4 and 5 being Phoenix Wright, Sora and Ice Climbers) - but now afterwards I couldn´t think of a more unique and more exciting character than her and I am so happy that Europeans made this dream come possible. Like you already said in the video, all 3 major new DLC-characters (Ryu, Cloud, Bayonetta) have such unique properties, we should appreatiate all the hard work Sakurai and his Team put into Sm4sh.I normally really like your Videos, but in this video you just sound like you don´t want to accept that other people wanted her in Smash (why cutting Ballot winner result part?), and complaining about the character without even knowing anything about her (at least in the video - after reading comments and the discussion I realized you are now excited for the charcter, which is very cool). And regarding the fan-interaction: Nintendo is actually listening to their fans and they interacted with their fans, just look at all the other reaction videos and opinions in online forums - you are one of the few who are disappointed about this announcement, overall the reactions are so positive and dreams have come true for many thousands of fans. Don´t be sad, I am sure, the other votes on the final Ballot are still considered for the futureand who knows, maybe one/some of your favourite characters will be included in the next smash brothers game;.Oh and btw, you should try out Bayonetta 1&2, they are so amazing games! I think she's an awesome character and, by the statistics they showed, it seems they did listen to the most fans worldwide. My opinion on her announcement has changed after the initial shock of only getting her as the winner - but I think I may have to try out the games now too :)

Ummm guys I love sora but like I was hyped for bayonetta, and I'm personally glad that shovel knight, wolf (fox 2.0), or K.Rool( no hope for a heavy to do well in competitive smash). Also you have to realize that KZbinrs especially big ones are not the only consumers of smash. The reason they used Europe for the votes was because most likely a lot of the people in the US voted for asshat characters like Shrek,Goku,Batman.

Shantae would have required additional company deals to bring in. With cloud, the deal seems obvious (FFVII remake will most likely be on the NX, alongside every other console). Sora serves no purpose, as Square already has a representative in the game (also, Kingdom Hearts is for Hot Topic Teenyboppers). Bayonetta 2 is literally owned by Nintendo. Her game was one of the biggest games to come out on the system (and even got a couple GOTY awards). Bayo is perfect for Smash.

+BJGvideos Geno represents a character who was buried under the restrictions of third party licensing. He never re-appeared due to Square Enix owning his IP. However, the "relationship" with Square Enix was enough to see the only iteration of him since the original game, and its exciting.

Why are you guys attacking or accusing the brothers of not liking or dismissing Bayonetta? All their saying is that the closure was not real and that the hype train was beyond the control in the end even of the main guy behind Smash. Cloud was such a huge omg moment that these last characters hold no ground to the popularity or interest of equal amounts, nor was there any information on any other character or the rest the top ballot characters. +Mat4yo She is popular, but never thought she was more popular than Isaac from Golden Sun, or Rayman, or even other few characters who have a huge established fan core. That said, i do realize that they did say that she was the most popular "most realistically realizable character" that includes legal issues, move set, fee and or royalties to those companies, limitation of character usage or what they can use, getting the voice actors back or a voice actors, and difficulty on desiging frames, and of course Sakurai seeing if character is fit. So so many factors go in play and when they did she was the best option based on a realizable character. So its not that she was more popular than Sora, or Rayman, it was just the easiest popular character to make.

theycallmebad I believe your comprehension skills are bad. I said she is, but she def is not as iconic as Rayman or Sora. Just because she has a hard core fan base that does not grant her iconic-ness to be greater than Rayman or Sora. Specially Rayman. Rayman did more for the game industry than she has, and so has Sora. Rayman series in the ealy 90's saved Ubisoft from being bankrupt and without his 3 games the company would not be making Assassin Creed games or FPS. Like Tom Clancy. Also, Kingdom Hearts fan base shares every FF title fan within its own fan base. Bayonetta was the most realizable character by different reasons. From rights, and legal agreements, to probably fee, and Sakurai's preferences and understanding how he can make a character playable in smash and not be a copy of another. Rayman would have been too complexed, and Sora too typical. Also, due to Sega already allowing Sonic being in Smash its a win for the company thus a easier approach than another Square character. Isaac...I don;t think Sakurai wanted another Robin like. Again, she wasn't the top character per say in request world wide, she was a top character based on realistic expectations. Numbers in fan base alone doesn't warrant an auto win either.

You say that Rayman and Sora wasn't chosen because of legal reasons or whatever, yet Sega, Namco Bandai, Square Enix, Konami, Capcom, and now Platinum Games etc has been represented in the series. We've had odd characters before and a moveset was still created for them. Bayonetta, meanwhile was number 1 in Europe. That's a lot of votes. Top 5 in USA - ALSO a high number of votes. I'm sure Nintendo is realizing they've probably fucked up with the order they've released the characters in, I don't doubt that. I think this has to do with Nintendo finally wanting to put smash to rest, I'm sure you've heard the whole theory behind the four smash games and its creator about how he's lost control of his creation. Well if you think about it this is him showing that he's in control and can't pander to every request that comes in to him. I don't know if they intend to release more smash games, the fact that they've done dlc with this one makes me doubt they will but I guess we should just be happy we have characters from all kinds of areas now. As a final comment to those of you bitching about not getting Sora or whoever, do take in to consideration that perhaps you voted on a character Nintendo would've never gotten permission to use.

I'm bummed, they add another FE rep, probably because Sakurai is a big FE fan. I mean Wolf would have been far better since theres only 2 starfox reps and now 6 Fire Emblem reps. Inkling was another new character they could have done. Considering Sakurai is a huge FE fan, it feels kinda like personnel preference then what would actually balance the roster. And Bayonetta, for religous reasons I'm not gonna even download, which really is depressing since I got all the dlc to this point and was hoping for one of my top 10 to make it. Yet not a single one did. I got up early to watch this live before school only to feel thrown under the bus.

You guys may not be as hyped about Bayonetta, but that's because your character choice is not in the game (Sora? LMAO!). That goes for everyone who is sad about the ballot. You already have a Square Enix character, his name is Cloud. I'm hyped as fuck for Bayonetta! I'm also not a Final Fantasy fan, so Cloud's inclusion was kinda "meh" for me personally, but I respect the franchise and iconic character. Sora is a horrible choice over Bayonetta. Plus, we get another sexy female over another guy. And I don't care about Kingdom Hearts for other reasons.

This is actually the thing Nintendo is been scrutinized for - Wholesome games for KIDS. I also voted for Sora because I know that Nintendo knowing their track record will never bring Bayonetta (or even Cloud) in Smash but I was wrong. I will take Bayonetta anytime than Sora. Besides Daddy Sakurai already gave us Cloud, and he is 1 million times better than Sora. Settle down kids Mama Bay is here to stay. ;-)

Really disappointing to me. Besides, the roster its so "anime guys" now, Bayonetta, the fire emblem guys, Cloud, Shulj,Pit with Palutena. Its way too much. I like the "mascot" style characters like Pacman,Sonic,Mario,Donkey Kong. that kind of characters. :P
