Amanda you are not alone my fellow survivor! Just found out she’s a narcissist five weeks ago. Married eleven years with seven awesome kids that I absolutely love. A few years ago (obviously before I realized she’s a narcissist or even learned what narcissism was) I would have trauma when I saw two couples eating at a restaurant together or just walking on the street together and having a conversation etc. it was like somebody stabbed me in the heart because I would ask myself “Why can’t I also have that?” And now when I see the same thing it actually makes me feel so happy for these people who are having a friendly relationship together. It took me a couple years to get to this level but I believe the brain has its own way of dealing with trauma. Give it some time and you’ll find a real man in your life because that is what you deserve!

I went shopping, enthusiastically buying my super foods and suddenly I felt a presents then the image of him in my mind...took me a while to figure out who it was. In spite of what I've lived through this past couple years, my heart still holds a place for him......I can "feel" what it must be like to come to the realization of what a HORRIBLE person everyone sees you as, and then to ask yourself the question "Am I really like that?" I’m in the so hurt phase. His love bomb left me in the dark. One small disagreement and he left 5 days later he had someone else. I’m new to this topic and the love bomb is what my exact case was. Asked me to married him in the second week. I started to suspect that is his motivation was money. Are and had full weekends with me in a beautiful place. After paying for dinners and everything and his no intentions of paying for anything, I told him I’m broke. He left for good and the following week he told me I have a new person and I have feelings for her and is none contact now. I was destroyed and came to find help and found my reality. I’m still hurting, is one obscure time in my life. He did tell me he has the most horrible childhood and now I see why he is the way he is.

I was left in such a mess that I have been in survival mode trying to keep my head above water. Ive had no interest in getting into a relationship until I get myself straight. Dont trally care about him, more my don,but then he has his claws in my son and my son keros reporting back to him. I told my don id nrver mske him choose between us, I would just ealk away. I am at the point where I will just ealk away from him too. I feel i have been ostirnt eith my son, giving him doace yo heal and get his life back on track, but noe he seems to be treating me the same way his Dad did. Perhaps it eill be better for me to zhut the doir on my don until he grows up and starts to understand how his behaviour toeards me is hurting me and damaging the relationship. The alcohol is more of a symptom. This lady told me "You're my alcohol" because I let her be her real self. After drinking for a while she would eventually get mean, though. One night she hit me. She didn't remember it the next day, but knew it must have been bad. Seems like narcissists don't like themselves and alcohol breaks down the filters they use to function, but it lets out the devourer.

Hi, beautiful friend, I have moved on but the problem is my ex keeps getting a hold of me when he needs my help. He asked me to buy his groceries then he told me he loves me and then came the charm. He got me to have sex with him over and over and I feel gross over it. He doesn't kiss me it's just sex. I feel like a fool for giving into him not it's her I really do love him and i have real genuine love for him. My ex had a habit of suddenly reappearing in my life just when I was at about 90-95% recovered. I swear she had a sixth sense, and this was before we had social media even. I finally managed to cut ties for about 10 years, which I achieved by starting a career change and going to university. It was a huge undertaking and involved accountability for learning and progress. You need distractions that are big, often something that's bigger than yourself. Why else do we see so many born again Christians talking on these channels. You have to think big if you want to topple the narcissist.
