I legit trick the algorithm for league. Someone actually did a study on how likely it is someone is a return player based of their wins and losses in 3 games, and found league certainly does place you in guarantee loss matches. What I do is, I play until I lose, then I get off for the day. If my first match is a loss I don't play for 3 days. If I go on a win streak, I buy something from the shop (something small usually I ain't made of money). Then I repeat, basically training the algorithms to say "This guy buys stuff on win streaks and doesn't play after losing, let's not make him lose". This actually got me from bottom of silver to Plat in a season. I'm not even bad, I just main support, and you can't hard carry as a support for the most part in lol.

I miss the good old days of Halo in the Reach era. So simple. No microtransactions. All your armor could be unlocked by playing the game normally. If you got good enough, having terrible teammates didn't matter as much, you just go 36-4. And if you played too well all you had to worry about really was your victims calling you a cheater. Sure you might run into an experienced party of 4 but there were only so many of those and you could just wait a couple minutes for them to find a match or just switch to a different but equally fun playlist. The Golden age of gaming is over it's all downhill from here.
