Sorry guys, I know you like to feel that you're part of some special group but all humans experience empathy. If you're a psychopath or extreme sociopath you'll have less empathy but that's a pretty small group of people, compared to everyone else. Most of us have a very highly developed sense of empathy, The degree to which it's expressed or acted upon is the major difference. You'll find that most people rate themselves highly in such personal qualities. :)
@reikibomb8036Ай бұрын
@@Codex7777 sorry guy, I know it's hard to believe something you may not have direct experience with, especially without physical proof, but nobody who talks about being an empath is denying that most people feel empathy. "Empath" denotes someone who experiences empathy more strongly than non-empaths, not someone who simply experiences empathy. what you're saying is equivalent to saying "sorry guys, I know you want to feel special but you're not a chef because most humans cook food". you're welcome to your opinion, but you shouldn't present it as fact because it makes you look stupid

@@Codex7777Sorry guy. You’re being rude for no reason.
@KathleenMcVarishАй бұрын
@Codex7777 You obviously need to go study what a true "empath" is! I can tell you it is NO fun to be one most of the time! Yes, most people, besides people with antisocial personality disorders, can feel empathy... BUT to be a true empath can feel like a curse! Those with ASPD can pick you out of a crowd, and by the time you figure out that you've been used, abused, and thrown away, you feel like a total idiot... AGAIN AND AGAIN! PS: You also need to check out what Dr. Hare discovered in his lifelong research to pinpoint a physcopath. They do NOT have any capacity or understanding of what empathy is, and there is NO degree whatsoever of it in them!!!

@darkmatter6714Ай бұрын
Truly Shakespearean levels of storytelling: Jenny and Screech are born side by side on the same day and die side by side on the same day. Both Jenny’s and Violet’s response to trauma is to freeze and stay quiet. Fight, flight or fawn are the options but they are both too mentally weak for fight or flight, due to years of psychological trauma, so fawn it is - a response which gets them both killed. Like mother, like daughter. Screech, being a victim of a broken upbringing ends up killing his sister, just like his father ends up killing his mother. Like father, like son. All of them - father, mother, son, daughter - victims of trauma. The cycle of inter generational trauma and violence continues.
@GhostWatcher2024Ай бұрын
One thing not mentioned by most reactors: - Violet was a silent girl, grew up with violent starts. - Violet was a silent girl, and Violet she fell fast. - Violet, why're you always so silent? - Say something Violet! - In CHARACTER, she stayed silent Then finally, and ONLY for the sake of her unborn children... - Violet broke her silence and she cried, "If I'm to die right here tonight, please let my baby(ies) stay alive!"
@Gamerone64Ай бұрын
The father was not actually mentioned. The timeline seems more to suggest it could have been Violet's OWN father who got her pregnant and Stevie was just a violent, short term thing. That could also help explain Screeches short temper, anger management, and other emotional issues just thru genetics.

Great reaction! Some insights: The inspiration for the tales was a newspaper article about a teenager stabbing an underaged hooker (High heels, rosies on her cheecks, walking the streets a thousand times before) during a robbery. "It's such a shame" is a quote of the officer who shot Screech... Everythin else is out of Ren's imagination. Patrick and his girlfriend were not available because they've been "busy" together. James (Screech) & Jennifer are names the UK government give to unknown kids like Jane Doe in the US.
@BraddahWatSonАй бұрын
Wow, those are really interesting facts to know about this! Mahalo for sharing!

This trilogy is one of the first songs suggested to all reactors by Renegades as it gives an idea of so many of Ren's unique talents. You were not singled out, don't worry. Ren did warn of dark things to come in the stairwell, when he said, "...the devil came to dance...", directly referencing Dance with the devil by Immortal Technique. "It's a Shame" were the words used by a policeman who had attended the stabbing of a woman by a young boy. The newspaper article Ren read quoted him. Ren made an instagram clip about Screech's evening prior to he and Jenny coming face to face in the ally that night. It is worth watching. In the song, it gives James' age as 14. Jenny is in high heels, with makeup on (Rosy on cheeks), walked the streets 1000 times, she wanted to escape....pretty suggestive. Violet's babies may have been sired by her dad. It is hard to know, but why was Stevie calling her a liar? Was it because he thought the kids were not his, or was it because she was pretending to be asleep? So many reactors, (like you), think for a moment that Stevie has killed Violet, without remembering she was alive in hospital at the start of the story before he rewound time. Money Games Trilogy is normally next, but you might want to visit the song he dropped a couple of days ago, Money Ties.

If I’m not mistaken, Jenny’s Tale was inspired by a newspaper story of a woman killed in the street by a 14 year old boy. The story concluded with the words “It’s such a shame.” The rest came from the mind of Ren. Also, the 3 parts were written and recorded over the course of 2 or 3 years.

Thank you for your thoughtful reaction. From the beginning, I could tell this was not going to be easy for you to get through to the end. I applaud you for doing so. It was not a prank, the Tales is a hallmark of Ren's bardcore work. One on the must see list of work Renegades present to reactors to show the breadth of Ren's musicianship. I believe it is fight, flight, freeze and fawn (telling the person how great they are, etc. to appease the assailant) and maybe a fifth one. To freeze is to remain still and in place, as a statue. This is such a tragedy and none of them ever really had a chance. 'Such a shame', is a throwaway term to make us feel better so we can instantly turn away and go on about our business without a second thought about what had happened and why it happened.

Take all the time you need. Ren uses all the tools he has to create his art. Here it’s not just his guitar- which is also a percussive instrument, a door, a gun, fists meeting flesh…. It’s literary tools of simile , metaphor, alliteration, the rhythm schemes , cadences and tones that change depending on which character he is playing or narrating . It’s the instrumental overture at the beginning of the Tale, setting the tone for what is to come. AND IT IS REN’S ACTING, HIS PERFORMANCE: the way he becomes Screech in Jenny’s Tale , he’s a menace, aggressive and creating fear. BUT, in Screech’s Tale we see Ren as Screech, spinning and spiraling. His face expresses panic, and fear , and we see Screech as the scared , petrified 14 year old kid that he is. But when confronted he reverts back to being all bravado. And again, when Ren is sitting in the hospital bed, he is Violet. Looking around, scared, completely alone, not knowing what to do. When REN is in the stairwell, looking up and sings “ She ne-e-ever had a chance “ , you can visualize that chance, floating up and out into the black sky. Breaking the fourth wall Ren makes us a part of Violet’s world; we see things from HER perspective. A MASTERPIECE OF STORYTELLING. * I have seen/ heard the Immortal Technique track BUT I have been trying to find the full 9 minute version of Dance With The Devil but can’t seem to find the whole thing. * You can watch it with your wife and record it AS IF it’s going to be a reaction video and then you both can decide on whether or not to post it. ❤

This really should have a trigger warning But not only for the content of the tales. The part that impacts me the most is that Ren can go there, write that, perform that, then come back out of that. Fantastic reaction. Sorry you hurt so much my brother... some of my favorite and least-mentioned elements of this genius: - The slowed rhythmic choice of "she tried to find strength to move" to denote the stuck-in-molasses moment of her freezing-up in Jenny's Tale - The elements of oooold style theatre with Ren's twangs of the strings at the end of the guitar intro of Screech's Tale and again the overly-dramatic narrator's "Where did he go?" and from Violet's tale: - "Stacking jars like pickled bricks" ... what imagery! _pickled bricks_ ?!? So bizarre yet so perfectly descriptive! - his change of accent "Steevie was a wrong'un but ee sure knew 'ow to charm'er". - The way he comes back into the guitar playing exactly on the word "pilot" and last but not least : The genius of concealing the twins, even in Violet's exclamation "Please let my babies stay alive" - which _everyone_ hears initially as "please let my baby stay alive" ...

Check out this great reaction 'Youth Justice Psychotherapist REACTS to first listen of Ren Tale of Jenny, Screech and Violet Full' which sheds a light on that issue. Text in the videos thumbnail: 'Why does this keep happening'. Really worth watching. Two genius details that are easily overseen/overheard: - At the beginning of Screech's Tale, when Ren sings "He melted into the black night just like snow" Ren almost disappears in the darkness for a moment in the video as well. - When you look up the original lyrics for Violets Tale you'll find that it's not "Grew up with violet stars", it's actually "Grew up with violeNt starTs". So crazy. Ohh damn 'Dance with the devil' by 'Immortal Technique' was so hard. I really had problems to watch it to the end. Do you know 'King Park' by 'La Dispute'? Another topic in detail, but ultimately also about violence. Hit me like a wall of bricks.

Ren IS a modern-day Shakespeare; he is so poetic with All of his music.

Ren told you that Screech was 14 years old, twice, during Jenny's Tale.

I felt that heaviness for you & almost cried when you heard the ending. That guttural groan... Yeah, Ren can tell a story. So glad you found Ren & have subbed for your journey down the rabbit hole. Welcome fellow Renegade 💖 Edit: I went back & found your earlier reactions before watching this one. I like to follow Reactors journeys from the start & all of yours have been awesome ✨🤘

Hahaha oh man, I've listened to the song again since and I still feel the knot in my chest. Ren is one of a kind. I'm really looking forward to more! And I'm glad you're coming along for the journey!

I did not need a new favorite reactor. But now I have one. You are amazing! Thank you for your heart and brain and empathy. I've subscribed, of course.

Oh dear, i felt sorry for you watching this 😢. Ren is so into the characters. It's so real. Everytime i watch it, i expect Anne Boleyn to walk round the corner, very Tudor feel to it. I'd suggest something light like Losing it, the Hunger, Power or anything from his old band The Big Push. He does great collaborations, Liv Sangster I'm in Love is gorgeous 😍 x

Absolutely loved your reactions!!! I've watched a lot of reactions to this and the way it shocked you throughout the story was awesome!!! Ren is so amazing in how he brings these stories to life. You can close your eyes when he is singing and see the story play out in your mind so vividly, it's insane. I'm definitely going to follow you and watch all your reactions! And I really hope you can get your wife to watch and let us see her reaction!!! I loved seeing how much the stories touched you. I have watched the tale of Jenny and Screech so many times and I still cry, every single time! I could see how much this touched you. I think we all get that ache deep down inside us when we watch Ren's videos. He should have hundreds of millions likes for all of his music. There's something about Ren that draws you in and changes you. There aren't many artists that can do that. He is truly unique. You have to watch "Chalk Outlines" with Ren and Chinchilla!! There voices blend together so perfectly, it will give you chills! Also "How to be" . It will blow your mind! I can't wait to see more of your reactions!

Subscribed for your heart-felt reactions to your REN reactions. Now it’s time for some fun REN! Don’t forget his older stuff as well. Love Music parts 1, 2, 3 & 4, Losing It, REN’s old band The Big Push “War Pigs” and “I Shot the Sheriff” and so many more. Just remember to keep breathing. 😉

The best part of watching reactions to this song is sharing the trauma of the last two words...😂😅

Jennys tale was prompted by a newspaper story and people saying its such a shame then a few months later came Screeches tale then it was nearly 2 years later he released Violets tale. Masterpiece

I loved your reaction to this - You clearly felt every word! As You're a fan of Hip Hop, I recommend the Hunger. If you want something else deep, I recommend Dominoes. You want something light-hearted, Back on 74/Message in a bottle covers. Ren has something for every mood. But first - we need your wife's reaction to this!

So, many, many years ago I played World of Warcraft when Burning Crusade was coming out. They released this awesome trailer narrated by Illidan that ended with the words "You are not prepared" and that was basically the voiceover in my head when you were doing the intro and going into Violet's Tale I'm sorry, man. Sending you hugs from California, it hits us all kinda like this. It's incredibly healing for those of us with trauma like this, though. I was abused as a child and fell into abuse as an adult and this story has helped me find my way out of it. And it's an amazing story and an amazing piece of art. It's what he's good at. Money Game 1, 2, and 3 is... a different kind of intense than this, can't recommend that one more either Boi can play guitar though, right? You should see him play bass, it's absolute MADNESS, I have never seen anyone play bass like that! He is on it in Johnny B. Goode with The Big Push, the busking band he was in (they stopped playing together because they scattered to the globe, they're all still good friends). You could use something way happier after this! I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop is also excellent and he's on rhythm guitar for that. Romain is on lead and braddah, you wanna see a man play guitar... What did your wife think? Now I'm curious 👀

This is why I love watching reactions…… that moment we see the realisation. I did laugh at how much you wanted to see your wife go through this. Not a true story, but easily could be. I believe it was inspired by a news report of a teen stabbing and the reporters comment at the end was “What a shame”. Really enjoying your Ren reactions, commentary and insights 🫶🫶 You are absolutely good enough ❤️
