Good ‘teachable moment’, Dad! Your calm & mature but direct communication is so commendable. You didn’t shame him even though someone else might have ‘made him’ apologize or make amends to his mom. He’ll need to learn that via example or from his mistake. Good parenting, Dad!

That man has a lot of control. I love my son. To this day we still have a good relationship and I'm grateful for it. The one time he sassed his mom I was there to hear it. One second, I heard him say what he said and the very next thing I knew, I had him against the wall w/ our faces about 5" apart and I said, "Your mother - MY WIFE". While I am not a violent man, my past had made me capable of violence. We both felt me shaking and we both knew it wasn't from the strain of keeping him against the wall even though he was a couple of inches off the ground by then, or because he was resisting because he wasn't. It was from me doing everything I could to keep from beating the ever-loving daylights out of him. That was all that was needed. I was taught that a good father teaches. A good husband protects. A good man leads.

Keep that in mind, when thinking those thoughts, Many Men have tried Lord knows they have, when Men are not the head of the household he wants know parts of parenthood unless he's raising his child under his roof that's a Man, Father, Husband, Mate, Parent, most Men aren't trying to be a Step parent that's not what any Man wants unless the Mother isn't around because of death or serious illness. Wonderful, wonderful communication. Reiterated those values and ground rules. Appropriately did not apologize but made sure he knew that dad still loved him. Oh my goodness, a real dad in this generation in our community. Mom did not need to “let him” be the man. He is the man, needing no permission to lead his household. Son was strongly reminded today who the man of the house is and how the man of the house loves and protects his helpmate. Thank you so much. Well done. Blessings.

If feminism didn't exist, empowering females to rule over the family, then men would stay and do their leadership roles. Patriarchy got us here, they fooled females into destroying the family unit and kicking men out the household.

Sometimes son’s lose their way which is why it’s so important to have a dad in the house that can give those needed lessons and directions to steer son back on course. Lesson while also giving son insight to how he should run his own household someday when he has one. God, husband, wife and then everything else in that order!!!!

Leave you with that 'L'!... Hilarious!!!... I don't feel bad for the son though, because it's a real important lesson that he respects his mother loves her for what she has done for him as a parent, and for the simple fact that both she and the father love him in order to discipline him in the first place.

I had nuthin… IDOC raised me from juvie til well into my 30s😣…My hat goes to to you sir! In a world full of entitled little assholes, it’s nice to know some parents are still trying to raise their kids to be respectful 🙏🏻. I still carry so much guilt for the way I treated my mother😢 and anyone who really cared and tried to help me. I hope your son grows to be a father like you

That was well taken care of! Discipline is the best thing for a child. We all need it! Bible says, We love our children when we chastise. It's to be done in a loving way. Your way was calm, it wasn't out of anger. That part at the end, son said, he can't wait to move out, smh. When he first gets out there he will wish he was back in there. When we're young, we don't know how good we have it! It was gr8 pt. 1 & 2.
