I used to work the night shift and one morning I was heading out on my Road King as the tornado sirens started up. Winds gusting to 80mph, close aboard lightning on both sides of the highway, torrential rain followed by dime sized hail and a flooded neighborhood when I got home. The mufflers and floorboards were fully submerged up over my ankles and the bike just chugged right along.

DUDE! I own a BottleCap Indian!!! An 02 Chief, the first year those engines were introduced. They are super rare now-a-days. Those we're made by Indian during the Gilroy era (99-03) and then later re-worked and upgraded for the Kings Mountain era. I have been watching this channel for years and for Shadetree to Acknowledge that bike, when the majority of modern Indian dealers won't, well, damn I feel seen. Thanks for that moment.

Had kinda the opposite happen to me, recently bought a 2011 Road Glide Ultra, thought it had a plain ol' 103. Used my esp to fix an oil leak, dealer tells me that instead of a 103, I have a built 110, they even said if I have any problems they will take care of me. So far I have had 5300 worth of esp work done. Glad my local dealer didn't screw me over.

When I were young, I lived in Key West, and Stock Island. we used to jump our minibike off the sea wall, for fun. My bike is in the carport, facing out. 63 and still riding, started out on mini bike at 7. The most fun bike I ever had, was a trail 70, as a kid. currently riding a 98 sportster. I wash mine at the car wash. then wax, and done.

When I modified my vstar because of my paralysis in my left hand I was looking for a throttle cable housing with out switches I stopped by my local harley dealer because I mostly see that part on Harleys. He found it in a catalog but when he found out I was putting it on a yamaha he slammed his catalog shut and refused to sell a part for a yamaha. I went to an independent shop, they had it on the shelf and told me I needed more than anyone else that would come in so he gave it to me for free!

The Harley-Davidson dealership here in New Smyrna Beach was awesome but unfortunately when the widow Rossmeyer decided that she didn't want to deal with the dealerships anymore she sold out to Teddy Morse and his first act of business was to close the NSB location and move everything to Destination Daytona.

Thats a Gilroy Indian they only made 15,000 of those bikes and no one knows how many are still on the road, and that engine is the Power Plus 100 and it is made by Indian. I have a 2002 Gilroy Indian Chief with that engine in it. Indian only made that engine for 2 years and then they went under again and then the Black Hills started the line and made the Power Plus into fuel injection for about another 2 or 3 years, and then went under and it stayed that way until 2010 and Indian is what we have today.

I would have tossed that wore out 107 right through the dealership window, that gets their attention. On a more positive note, I have had interaction with a young guy who just aged out of foster care. I'm in rural se ky and trust me, the scammin of he welfare/social service system is out of control here. You see signs all over the sides of the roads, on light poles etc about needin foster parents. Its a huge thing here sadly. I been helpin this boy work on his mini bike so he has somethin to have fun on and get around on these back roads. I have been tempted to say somethin to wildcat Harley Davidson in London ky to see if they could start a forgotten angels here. There is a need for it here bigtime.

My dealership just screwed me over last week. I bought a warranty which i knew was a dumb idea. The upper drivebelt guard snapped and they said my deductible was 50 to active my warranty and the part was 44 bucks. I said "Yeah, out of your pocket". They started laughing and said no, out of your pocket. I paid all that money for nothing. I've never heard of a deductible to activate a warranty, even when i had my transmission in my van replaced under warranty i didn't have to pay anything.

Dude Josh Iam having a similar issue with a new harley I just bought in February. It has a bad speed wobble. I have not been able to ride in months and I am super sad at the whole situation. I would love to start riding again, but I have no idea what to do the bike just sits and the harley dealer just says they made some adjustments and sends me on my way but the issue has never been fixed and they have no motivation to figure out the issue.

V Max is definitely not a big man bike. When I got my KLR I went to buy a V Max. It felt like a tricycle. My knees were into the fairing on the Gold Wing. The KLR was the only thing in the showroom I could semi comfortably operate because I can ride where the passenger would sit.

Coming from the UK it always surprises me when you talk about fuel octanes. Here in the UK I only use 99 octane fuel in my motorcycles. If desperate, I’ll put 95 octane in them. I don’t get why the US has lower octane fuels, or am I mistaken??

I just can’t get over people buying fuel with higher octane than the bike engine was designed for. Octane is not equal to performance. It’s actually retarded performance. It’s trying to stop the energy in the fuel detonating and burning as easily because the engineers needed a weaker desire to combust fuel for their very high compression engine designs because it was detonating too early and ruining their high compression engines. Then you get all the modern yobbos with low performance engines buying and putting in higher octane fuel thinking they are getting higher performance. 😂 there is zero performance in the fuel it’s all inside the high performance engines themselves not the fuel.
