Way back in the day we use to be able to Message each other and leave comments on each others channels. One day out of nowhere KZbin got rid of those features and I lost all contact with most of them. God I’m old I even remember when Facebook launched and you could only access it with a college email. I was 8-9 when I watched leafyishere, gradeaundera, and LT corbis, LT corbis was my inspiration when i was younger, since she was young and popular on KZbin. 😭 Watching these KZbinrs definitely made me a werid kid.

I am glad you addressed the other part of your audience that didn't consider these creators OGs. I joined KZbin on my other account in 2007 and as influential as these 2016 KZbinrs were and still are they weren't really around when I joined the platform. I consider ShayCarl, Nigahiga, Smosh, DaveDays, CommunityChannel, DaxFlame, LisaNova, LivaLavaLive, Shane Dawson, Fred and those creators the OGs. If you want to cover an older topic not many have covered, I recommend looking into one of the first gatherings of KZbinrs called the 789 Gathering in NY. I am not sure what type of things you'll uncover about it, but it might be worth a look.

A lot of the OGs still make videos though, so it's a bit harder to do a video on those types sadly. Then again some of them also had drama so maybe it could work, the problem with the real OGs is KZbin wasn't that popular in 2007, there was only a handful of us that used it in school, the OGs definitely brought in the viewership but most users won't really know much about them unless they're still active now

From what Grade says in his videos, he is a secondary school teacher. So its safe to assume that considering that his videos are pretty explicit, after his face being leaked he was likely approached by the school and asked to stop making videos and so he went cold Turkey. Or its likely that he was approached to work a higher payer job in education; and decided to go silent on social media and youtube from the risk of his new employers discovering his account and not wanting to be associated with him.

Cryaotic is so depressing for me since I watched him during my high school years. I did stop around 2010 to 2011 because of my disinterest in gameplay channels. The cryoatic thing breaks me every time. He was one of the youtubers I watched during a really dark episode of my life and I found comfort in his videos. Every now and then I visit some of his videos trying to feel the comfort again but I can´t. It´s just... I think about the good memories he gave me while being in my personal internet world far away from real life and they straight up get destroyed because I have to think about the bad things he did. It´s like visiting the house you used to live in but things changed and it doesn´t feel the same. Idk... I always feel sad when I hear his name and my good mood is gone. Is that weird?
