Great video Jon, it shows how hard fishing is at the moment even for the best anglers like yourself mate

I'm not a match angler now but you inspire me to keep getting out there and fish in these cold conditions, keep going mate. 👍🥶

Well done Jon, Last time I fished that peg I could only catch small F1’s and there was a horrible snag there on the right, I did have a 9lb 15oz F1 in a match the week later on peg 9 or 10, they missed the flyer

Hi Jon this match highlights that persistance, particularly in Winter is essential when match fishing, a reasonable result salvaged from what could have been a disasterous one, well done and well fished thanks for the video.

Great example of search and you will be rewarded. Helped by the nice splash of the fish to your left. Yet again your persistence and dogged searching ended with you getting a respectable 4th place from a peg which didnt offer much encouragement. Well fished Jon. Cheers

Great fishing Jon !! Happy new year! Another example of playing battleships to find the fish! I'd love to see you tackle a DEEP commercial, my local is up to 14ft in places . Finding the fish can be impossible! 😂

Good result in tough conditions . I can't believe how much stuff guys take to the bank these days. When I used to fish the canal matches at Denham it backed onto Savay Lake. The carp anglers who bivvied there for a week at a time never had that much gear. We used to laugh at them so they'd get even by sticking some of the carp there into the cut. Made quite a mess of your tackle when the best you were hoping for was a chub or three

Hard work, they feed when they want to feed, that's F1s, well done anyway.

I'm 6 minutes into this, and it's not blowing 100 miles an hour... Are you ok fishing in these sorts of conditions, Jon?

Nice comment. Jon is only at his best in howling gales and driving rain. Cheers
