Back in the day when i went to gyms, everyone wore comfortable loose clothing including sneakers , track pants and t shirts , there was no special gym clothing! No cameras either, and certain hrs were for women only and others for men only. Other times it was mixed. We all minded our own business! No body looked or judged. These kids seem to need strangers to validate and approve their body shape/condition. It is an occupation of the insecure and the immature.

See a fatty at the gym, encourage them (l was once 107kg now 77kg ripped). See bad form, encourage them to ask a trainer to show them proper form (l'm in great shape but l'm not qualified to instruct anyone). Happy to report that l have NEVER encounteted anyone at all who laughed at me or tried to denigrate me, even at my worst people at the gym were always friendly and helpful.

"Fatty" is a slur, like the n-word or gipsy which we're not supposed to use anymore. The term is FAT or fat person. You can also do "overweight" although it's subjective since anyone who's not 0% body fat is overweight by definition. At the gym, people should mind your own business. The first clip had me in tears. Through my 30's and 40's I was in great shape and faithful in my fitness journey. At the age of 60 I'm having some health issues that have kept me from the thinks I love. I know that I don't have the body I used to and I'm so self - conscious I rarely leave my house except for appointments. What happened to our society that this is ok? My fear of being splattered all over social media is real and it's because of people like the ones Joey Swoll calls out.

This is just my thoughts on the post from Nika, If you look at the young man in the video it almost appears to me that he may have a slight disability. You can see from his stance and the little stumble he has when switching arms with the weight. His movements also show it as well. Many women naturally gain weight after menopause and the metabolism slows down. Also there are many factors that can lead to over-eating such as stress, depression and anxiety, and not everybody is able to spend half their time working out. Be kind.

I decided to start going to the gym and defy anyone to get in my way. I got to the point where I was Jacked. Now what? I defy anyone trying to me. My friend said a guy kept loading his sh*t on a machine he knew she would use. The gym wouldn’t help her. She confronted the guy and he went right back to storing his cr@p on the machine. I told her to take his cr@p off it and put it on the floor. Defy him bc he is weak in getting his jollies by tormenting women. He left her alone then.
