I don't get the idea behind this. Most $2 bills aren't rare. Especially the ones most people spend. You can literally go to a bank and change out $5,000 for a bunch of $2 bills.You can buy rolls of uncut $2 bills from the treasuries website...What is the idea behind cashiers so desperately wanting a $2 bill? I suppose that's why they're just cashiers and not the managers.
@hansonjiang72926 жыл бұрын
People just don't see them too often, and rarely bother to go out of the way to exchange money at the bank for $2 bills. So like for me, I keep them like a collector's item whenever I receive one, even though I know they're common enough. It's just something different in life

Here's a good topic for you to make a video on... businesses that use $2 bills regularly (like the magic shop), to make themselves stand out in the marketplace and make themselves memorable. It's a great, cheap, marketing ploy. I remember a strip club in Greenville, SC that gave $2 bills are charge after charging their cover to get in. I'll always remember that place.

Great idea, Paul. BUT... I already did one about businesses using $2 bills: kzbin.info/www/bejne/faK2XpKAmaaSgpo There's also a video on this channel which is a clip from the full film (also on this channel) about $2 bills in strip clubs. There are also other combinations like; 4 bills / 5 coins, 4 bills / 8 coins, 5 bills / 8 coins, etc.

We hear that kind of story a lot. People cherish the bill, and we think it's what makes it special. That said, the reason people like your Dad keep them and never spend them is because they mistakenly believe they are rare or not made anymore. Neither of those are the case. Still, it's a bill with a lot of nostalgia and sentiment to it.

Ain't no way they were trained for being on register without knowing where 2s go. At Culver's, we have slots for 1,5,10, and 20, with all the basic coins being there as well. Where the 100's or 50's slot would be is coin refills. ANYTHING that isn't a coin or 1,5-20 goes underneath the monee holder. Coupons go there, 100s go there, and yes, the $2 will be under the monee.
@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary3 ай бұрын
Sounds like you're working on a register with just 4 cash slots. Most original registers had 5, and again, they were designed to have the two as one of the bills. But things changed over time, as did the need to make registers smaller (like yours). When that happened, the $2 was pushed out as a potential bill for a slot.

I work behind a register at a small residential market so let me fill you in. When customers bring us $2 bills, we usually either lift the tray and stick them there or we set them aside. The spot we would normally place $2 bills in we would stick receipts in it because like the rest of the bills debt, credit or EBT cards are commonly used. For the foreign change people sometimes bring us (sidenote: I've received Canadian coins because the patron mistook it for a quarter. British shillings because they thought it was a dollar coin, yes we also get those and Filipino, Argentinian, Mexican, pesos, dollars, pounds, and these as well ¥, I forget how to say this one) we too have a dedicated slot for those as well, we would place our pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, and foreign coins in that order This doesn't apply to *EVERY* market but some might have the same setup as ours does. Hope you found this interesting. Have a nice day.

When I worked at Kroger after they marked the hundred they would stick it under the tray of money But I would think the one person that put the two under the one, I think you’re asking for trouble doing that. What if you run out of ones and you accidentally grab the two without paying attention? Then you might think you’re cursed. 😂

Put the 2's under the 1's she said. God help her, she's gonna be short.

Fun Fact: 2 Dollar bills aren't that rare, it's just that people think they are so whenever somebody gets one they save it, pulling it out of circulation.

We are the experts on that fact. That's kinda the point of the channel - to educate people about the bill. Here's that fact and 4 more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIKteHedeK96pqM

That one guy at the end is not saving money he is just trading money for a different bill😂

He is trading his money for a $2, but then he's saving the $2. So you are only half-right.

Just be like England make the 1 dollar bills into a penny and then put the 2 dollars in there

Put the $2 bills in the last slot to the left, very rarely will the store need to give out $50's for change and they don't need $100 bills in the tray

Agreed!

I’m a cashier and if I get a $2 bill I just put them in the drop safe next to me where I put the bigger bills 🤷🏻♀️
