Love the advice of doing a mood board with the permanent fixtures! Will be following along for the ride, just bought our first house and I am eager to make it our own! Need all the wisdom along the way

I consider architecture, natural light, color, and layout. In my 1930 home, I had to consider tile color. The kitchen has floor-to-ceiling ceramic tile. The range hood is tiled and the bay windows are surrounded in tile. It is a warm, butter yellow with light blue trim that sometimes looks periwinkle in the sun. The bathroom is tiled in mint/seafoam green in at least two shades with black accents and a smattering of coral.
