Oh my dear Tommy, you have literally no idea what a gift you made me this morning! I'm sorry, I know it is a very heavy song for the first time hearing her, but it is one of those which are closest to my heart.. Actually, she sings "in tongues", it's a made-up language by herself at the age of 12.. so you won't be able to find any lyrics. She never sang for fame or money, she ones said in an interview that she transcends herself into another place while she sings, because she just wants people to really feel the music.. I am forever grateful, wish I could hug you right now! Much love to you.❤

Dead can dance were a phenomenon band, their influence on music is undeniable as the years have gone on. Both Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry are singers whose vocals are capable of taking you out of this brutal world and provide refuge and sanctuary. Sacrifice is a highlight from Lisa and Pieters Duality album. Definitely investigate Dead can Dance more.

"The host of seraphim" and "Persephone" from Dead can dance are also two soul-crushing tracks from her. She is also doing female vocals in "Gortoz a ran" from Black hawk down tha is also an amazing song.

Lisa Gerrard is featured in a lot of movie soundtracks, most famously in "Gladiator." My favorite songs by her are Savean and Adrift. Dead Can Dance is an amazing band, too.

I'm actually going to do some Dead Can Dance.

Gerrard sings many of her songs, such as "Now We Are Free", "Come Tenderness", "Serenity", "The Valley of the Moon", "Tempest", "Pilgrimage of Lost Children", "Coming Home" and "Sanvean" in idioglossia - although she also sings in English.

Crazy talent in this track. Not something I would listen to usually, but the emotion put into this performance is amazing. Kinda sounds like the "Dune" music in the last two movies.

Diana Ankudinova is incredible as well. She did some vocals on the 2021 Dune score. There is an amazing video of her on a Russian talent covering "I will always love you". She goes to a barritone level in that, that is otherworldy!

Lisa Gerrard is one of my favorites! Her low voice is so haunting and powerful at the same time. But if you wanna hear another side of her, listen to "Cantara" live - you' 'll be surprised. :-D Anyway - great reaction.

Tommy thank you! You did a Lisa Gerarrd reaction & I didn't even request it. She is my all time favorite singer. She and Dead Can Dance (band she was part of) probably saved my life during the darkest days of my mental health when I was a young. She also does a lot of movie scores. The most well known is Gladiator with Hans Zimmer (one of Tuomas's favorite scores) This song, like most that she sings, is in her own personal language.

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody her cover for alphavilles "big in japan" is stunningly beautiful. she is from norway, one of auroras role models ( she is way better than aurora imho) or her song last breath, which she wrote for her father who passed away. you can recognize her voice easily.
