I thought I wanted to try opium but I saw a video with a former user who said there's no actual "high" (like acid or ecstasy, both of which I enjoyed immensely in my younger days) but instead it becomes a physical dependence. Apparently, after a while your body feels wrecked without it. I don't need that.
@cathyt1442 жыл бұрын
If you can get by without it then dont ever use it. Your body becomes so dependent on it that withdrawals are enough to make you wish you no longer existed. Im an "accidental addict" 61 yrs old and Drs prescribed it for chronic pain over 10 yrs ago. It works great but your body becomes dependent very quickly. Noone ever told me that it had this affect when trying to stop. Now i live with the constant fear of the pain i know i will endure if i run out,the sick to your bones feeling on withdrawals,and trying to find a Dr to prescribe them because the govt and DEA have gotten so strict. Whats so bad is people buying off the street and its often times laced with fentanyl and other drugs that instantly kill you. Ive lost all my teeth because of the medication as well. They turned to chalk and started decaying and breaking off in big chunks. I finally got all of them extracted but now ashamed to even talk to anyone in public or even my kids. Im working on getting dentures but miss my once beautiful teeth. I havent smiled in 5 yrs. It sucks. Im angry at my Drs for not fully explaining this medication but even more angry at myself for not researching it myself. I recently went thru a weekend of forced detox and withdrawals. The sickest ive ever felt in my entire life. I would give anything i owned to be physically able to never take another one as long as i live. Just dont ever get curious enough to try it.no matter how much pain youre in.

@@cathyt144lost your teeth? What the fuck? Get your life together for fuck sake , that's the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard opiates don't do shit to your teeth unless maybe your smoking them, you just lost yourself which is sad as fuck, learn some self control, I've been enjoying oxycodone every single day for over 3 years. I'm nothing different, doesn't affect me negatively very much although withdrawal can be difficult, either way I've stuck to a dose no higher than 30 to 40mg daily and haven't ever upped my dose, it's people like you that make users and or self medicators look even worse, lost your teeth??? Seriously?? Jesus christ how about brushing them everyday?? Or are you doped up and nodding out most the time? Get ahold of yourself ffs if you live in fear about withdrawal than work on lowering/tapering your dose down. Really isnt hard at all if you do it right, or get on methadone. Honestly methadone sounds like your best bet, sounds like you've totally destroyed yourself and are at rock bottom.

@@turtlemouth Opium is an opiate??? wtf do you mean lmao, it's like you're separating opium from opiates as if it isn't an opiate haha, EVERY opiate starts from a poppy plant, as does opium, and Oxycodone isn't and "Opiate" it's an "Opioid" it's synthetic, synthesized in a lab, Opiates come from the poppy plant (Opium, codeine, morphine, heroin - which is diacetylmorphine) Dude what, you need to do a lot of research, and that so sad dude lol , I took 30mg of oxy around the time I replied, I've been feeling like absolute bliss since, total happiness and relaxation and everything just feels, right.....good......nice......warm and most of all interesting, i can watch anything on youtube and be so interested, I have no clue how you felt like dog shit for......... 2 DAY?! what the fuck, did you buy it off the street or something?? Oxy is the widest abused opiate for a reason, it's incredible, you must have taken too much at once, or on an empty stomach, and or just had what most people do when the first opiate they take is one of the strongest in existence, common side effects are nausea and stuff like that so yeah it's common, it was just your first time your body isn't used to it.

No shit. It's also a natural one that you're far less likely to OD on than something like fentanyl or heroin. Opium should only be used for severe pain and severe situations, it is useful for those types of things though. If one finds themselves addicted, they can turn to Kratom which is also natural but much safer and lighter than opium and it can be used to wean themselves away from the opium...kratom is also better for less severe pain while opium would be good for a leg blown off. With these 2 existing, prescription pain pills are esentially useless..and they easily could take over the market. I guess I should've been more clear in my comment, obviously I do not condone using opium it is highly addictive and should only be used for severe life destroying pain. I'd rather smoke opium with hash than pour a bunch of oxy down my throat and get started right to the path of heroin which is esentially super opium.

Have you ever had opium? In any way - smoking eating? I have been on opioids for most of my life, last decade on suboxone only and I used anything in the past. I loved opium. It was special. Home made opium I mean. It was all day work. Wake up go to the field than the work.. I did about 300/400 popies for one smoking. In the begginig of my use it was a bliss. It was a pure beauty and pure hapinnness. The feelings after first hit came in seconds. Warm tickling in my head and just one breath and the dopamine bomb exploded. It was nice

@Oakleaf7007 жыл бұрын
It didn't used to be. in the 1970's Opium was quite common in London, when there was a much more ''hippy'' vibe. Iranian revolution brought lots into London [and probably elsewhere] at end of 1970's too. ''Alternative London'' book even showed [via basic sketch] how to make an improvised Opium pipe out of a porcelain globe with pinhole in it and a bamboo tube. I found a fantastic opium pipe bowl in an antique shop last month, it was wrongly labelled as ''Chinese ink pot?''..it was in superb condition~often the needlehole in these bowls has got too big with use.

Adam A. Actually, the restrictions put on prescription opioids recently have become so strict that most severe chronic pain patients, like myself, cannot find adequate pain management care. The CDC’s “prescribing guidelines” are absolutely absurd (which they do enforce, even though they say they’re just “guidelines”, they still will punish doctors for not following them!) I’m in so much pain ever since my Pain Mgmt Dr decided it was too risky to keep treating pain patients, even though he was a great doctor and very smart about treating pain. I’m miserable and can’t do much anymore. I could do so much more in my life if I just wasn’t in so much damn pain! But no one cares about pain patients losing access to their medication for some reason. It’s a silent national tragedy, and people need to know that legitimate pain patients cannot find physicians to treat that pain anymore. You can’t protect addicts at the expense of harming & causing mass suicides in pain patients!

Long, long ago in China I'm told, to England was traded some tea. And so... sealed the fate in pieces of eight, all England and the world. Yeah, Poppies. Then soon his majesty sent soldiers and thieves to India searching for gold. Instead from the ground, some magic they found. Something... far better I'm told. Yeah, Poppies. And now this story told from days of our own when gossamer doggies ran. They'd patiently wait with pieces of eight, so everybody could smile one more time. Yeah, Poppies.
