Where does the MONEY go when an NFL player gets FINED?

We always hear about when a player gets fined, but never of where the fine goes. So, what happens to the money? For example, Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, he’s been fined almost $100,000 this season alone for various infractions, such as not wearing socks, backflip celebrations, and making a peace sign while scoring a touchdown. But where does that money go? Like, what do they do with it? And does it affect the player who was fined? And if so, how?

While I know the NFL is putting that money to good use, the fact that they fine these players feels like it’s a trap. If a player is fined, the charity gets the money for former NFL players and benefits while the current player loses out on a chance to improve their financial situation. If the player isn’t fined, they keep the money to improve the situation while the former player doesn’t get any benefits. If this keeps up, the current player might find themselves replacing the former player in having financial woes. It feels like a win-lose deal either way.
