This movie is an all time favorite of mine. The single most watched movie throughout my life. The cast, story, action everything about is soo well made and thrilling. Love the Junkers Ju-52 plane as well👍👍

A truly classic war film and tale of deception, bluff and counter bluff as the allies rout out a spy ring in the midst of intelligence agency.

The movie follows the original book pretty faithfully. Really the only difference is a nitpick. In the book, they arrive in a Lancaster and leave in a Mosquito. In the movie, they use a JU-52 for both.

Defiantly a Great movie. I had a chance to look over a JU52 years ago parked at an airshow. Powerful aircraft in its day.

Clint Eastwood is such a scary looking guy. So scary that I would feel scared for the villain who has to face him. All jokes aside, hollywood has really developed the Badass American character nicely since the Eastwood days. All I can think about is Tom Cruise and his many stunts in the Mission Impossible series.

You cannot remove the firing pin from a sten gun as it does not have a firing pin fitted , but it does have a pin on the bolt face that acts as a striker , but it can't be removed !

Hero of this movie was Richard Burton. Client Eastwood was in a supporting role and as a killer. I have seen this movie in 1969.

A hollyweird film of any genre, war, western, crime etc, has 100 times more UNBELIEVABLE BS than this film. Just have to watch John Wayne win every war since 1801 with an arsenal of weapons, dead and alive indians, outlaws, and a billion ton supply of ammunition.
