they are only checking you didn’t claim anywhere else,just tick that you don’t have any other policies but the one with them, some credit cards have insurance attached, they will just confirm you didn’t claim elsewhere, that’s all, i would just be truthful,you don’t have them, Tracey would have the house insurance it’s not in your name, don’t cut off your nose to spite your face isn’t that what they say you

My hubby and I watch different television as we very seldom like same programs. It sure is devastating for the US with Hurricane Helene. I think it was parts of maybe five different states. It’s so sad. I think you watch the same ones I watch on Utube. Is that the other persons insurance if so then proof of your insurance which we have is a pink card here is all they need. Take care.

Hi mate you might find it’s the legal cover part of the insurance they are after, when I claimed personal injury some years ago nothing to do with vehicle insurance, the solicitor used my car insurance legal cover to claim from the business that was negligent, so it might be worth a call to them, enjoyed your musings on the wise men being missing these days and agree wholeheartedly 👊👍🚌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

They are asking you for the details of other insurance policies because they want to check that you are not insured for any of the items you claimed for on a different policy (stops potential for a double payout). It is standard practice. Although I understand your reluctance to send them details, without it they may refuse part of your claim for the additional items and you will be out of pocket. Don't forget they may also need to send these details to the other driver's insurance if he has any. It will almost certainly be financially worth the time and effort to send the details in. You could also call them and talk through what you have and why they want it. That could well cut down the number of items they are after. Hope this helps

We live with our daughter, so we don't personally have most of these insurance policies they ask for, but they ask for household details, which means involving her, which I am not prepared to do. I have a credit card, but how can that provide me with cover? If I have to go without the money I will, rather than comply with this demand.

Insurance companies are very good at taking our money, but will make it as difficult as possible when we claim, hoping we give up and don't bother. They are trying to see if there is anything in any of your other policies that covers you for items lost in the motorhome. Just so they can get out of paying your claim. Makes me angry things like this Trevor. Greedy fat cat culture. That joke at the end was so bad it was actually very funny!!! See you tomorrow, bye!!

👍👍👍Fun chat. Regarding the insurance claim, if you want to be recompensed for your loses then you have to supply proof that you wont be receiving any payout from other insurances that you have. The companies that my husband and I worked for both have group insurance plans for their employees, we have to state whether we are covered by another provider and attach the necessary paperwork. Just making sure people don’t get paid more than the actual procedure cost. You have to decide whether you want the money that is owed to you or go without because you don’t agree with the insurance company rules. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Decline and they get what they want …. ‘no payout to you’. Better the money in your pocket than theirs. Good luck, stay safe and well. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦

Completely off topic lol, but I noticed your coffee looks a strong blend in colour. I’ve been decaffeinated for the last two years on advice from the Dr and I do notice if I have a strong take out coffee it really does affect me now and I feel a bit weird and don’t like driving like that. Decaffeinated is becoming more accessible as a take out.

Insurance - is it a scam? They should have all the information on file. I'd be wary before giving them credit card info. I would have thought that following the crash, you would have been entitled to remove personal items from the damaged vehicle? Do you have have an insurance ombudsman that can help you. Sometimes a member of parliament (your local member, I think) may help. Even a motoring organisation (AAA), should have someone that can help. Fortunately, touch wood, we have not been in that situation and I realise UK and Australia has different rules, regulations, and governing bodies. As frustrating as it is, if you ask the right person or authority, you may get results that you like. Good luck.

I'm still here. Husband and I drove 1500 miles in 2 days to our uncle's funeral in Kentucky. Pat is right. Medically proven women can use both sides of the brain at once. Not men 😄 My husband and I don't watch TV together either. Can't stand all the hunting and western programs. He doesn't like documentaries and British murder mysteries. At least she went to sit with you. And she was paying attention because she knew the end of the program!

Yes I did I worked in a high dependecy unit for people with mental health issues it was terrible I have 5 children and my twins were only 6. Months old at the time they are 22 now .but thanks to my great husband I got better and I left nursing and I now work with my hubby rearing calfs on the farm and I love it it's hard work but it's a great way of life

Can you contact the government agency that is responsible for insurance companies or your local PM? They are asking for far too much for something that wasn’t your fault and the sheer amount of paperwork they are asking for seems incredibly excessive. If you don’t follow-up, then the insurance company has won and don’t have to pay out. Seems like that is exactly what they want to have happen. I’m like a dog with a bone and would fight to the bitter end. TTFN
