9:43 Sadly, Jean-Michel Basquiat died in the 80s as a young man in his 20s. He was an amazing artist, and a friend and collaborator of Andy Warhol. There are some good documentaries and films about his life. For sure worth checking out!

What an interesting Museum. Shocked at the diversity of the articles left behind .I am so glad they are donating some of the luggage to foster children. I used to always try to find shopping bags or backpacks for the children so their belongings did not have to go into garbage bags. I always thought the unclaimed luggage was auctioned off . Loved the Big chicken . Safe travels . Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤

Good morning Jacob, I hope this day finds you doing well. I never was big about watching things on YT until a few months ago when I finally got a tablet big enough to see. Very much lucky for me your channel was one of the first ones I ran across. I spent most of that day watching The Carpetbagger videos and enjoyed every one. Literally your channel was the first that I subscribed to. I absolutely adore the way you show things and places without prejudice or malice. You have such a pure heart, and I would follow you almost any where. Thank You so much for showing me a lot of places I would never otherwise be able to enjoy. Since I live on the west coast, I wake up grab a cup of coffee and watch your newest video. The only thing I would ask is please don't let the haters get to you. It makes me cry to see you upset over the words of some hateful moron that has nothing better to do than belittle others. You make the world so much better for myself and a multitude of people around the world. I'm sure there are a lot of us that would stand and fight for you Jacob. We love our Carpetbagger, you are awesome my friend. Please, please keep being you. Much love and hugs to you and Jen from the left coast

Just came here to say I do that too! I put a paper in my checked bag, carry on and personal item just in case. I also have a luggage tag with my phone number and email address securely attached to the handles, and a smart tag in the checked bag and carry on 🙂. The paper has my contact info, flight info and address and phone number of where I'm staying on what dates.

I love your videos. I'm always happy when a new one is posted. Really glad your returned to the lost luggage place. I always wanted to travel, but sadly my husband was sick for a number of years..so I had to work and take care of him. I am now a widow at 45 years old. I don't know what the future holds, but I hope to be able to travel one day. Keep up the awesome job that you do. Because of you I do get to see some of the world ❤❤❤ and I think you and Jenn make a wonderful couple, I love when she joins you on your journeys. Be safe out there❤

I play the bagpipes and they can range from $1000 and up depending on if you get silver or not. the kilts are usually custom made in Scotland and they are expensive as well. bagpipe bands usually have their own tartan that they want everyone to have so it matches. it baffles me how someone can loose or leave the whole thing on an airplane. I usually have all of my items with me in the plane I usually do not check them as checked luggage from it being expensive. And the Bagpipes are usually expensive to fix as well.

I think a lot of the luggage gets lost because of employee irresponsibility at the terminals. I've known luggage to get put on the wrong flight or wrong bus or not put on at all. I've known some luggage to get broken into & robbed out of. Me & friend once took a bus ride from the south end of AR to the north end of AR to pick up a car to drive back home. It needed a radiator so we put a replacement radiator in a box to go with us. We seen the box put on the 1st of 3 busses we traveled on, but when we got to our last destination the box was nowhere to be found. It arrived the next day on a different bus.

Is not a lot of this luggage when people are returning from destinations also? So when a lot of the time say the wedding dresses. They already got married and they're just returning home. But the dress doesn't return with them. Don't want to necessarily be sad for the bride. Because they used the dress. It just didn't come home with them.

Hi Carpetbagger, thanks for another great video. I don't comment . on anyone's videos but I have found myself comment on your videos and a few others. See I have went through cancer a rare cancer of the throat. I have been very sick throughout my journey which I was a watcher of your videos from way back before the channel I do watch daily plus I go back and watch your old ones daily as well since I have had the time. Your videos help me escape the pain and emotional, mental feelings throughout the day. I was asked if I accomplished my treatments what would be number 1 on my bucket list or what I call my second life dream wish list? My number 1 is to do the route 66 complete road trip,2 meet carpetbagger and jenny penny , I just want you and Jenny both to know that your videos help others escape sickness, heartbreak and emotional times some more difficult than others. You should be proud of yourself as others are of you guys. Keep doing the videos. Much love and prayers 🙏 ❤️

The wheelchairs make me so sad. It’s bad enough that airlines break like 7 wheelchairs a day. But imagine you depend on a wheelchair to get anywhere, even around your house, and all of a sudden *poof* vanished into thin air. Those things can cost more than a new car these days. I’m sure those ones go missing less often, but still. Even manual wheelchairs can cost thousands of dollars. But also something you literally need to function. I’m glad another person gets to use them but still. That sounds like an awful thing to have to go through

Ha ha I suppose light hearted humor is a way to present that store and its type of retail sales. What’s surprising is the location for such a store. Alabama must have finders keepers law(s). Other states have unclaimed property laws mandating escheatment to the state.

When I was young my parents traveled all over the orient and bought me a inflated cain they carefully took it with them when they went to various countrys, as they bought it at the first place they visited. Unfortunately they left it on the plane when they came back to the usa. The only thing was a picture of my mom with it when she arrived in China. Wonder if it ever made it to the unclaimed luggage center?
