Are all 2006's fuel filters on the tank? I was told it was build into the pump.

Most have just a fuel strainer and not a fuel filter. If you go to the parts house and ask them to sell a filter for a 2006 they should be able to tell you if you have one or not thanks for watchin. Besure to like and subscribe

The 2006 Dodge Grand caravan the fuel filter is integrated with the fuel pump in the tank so to do the job right you should get a whole new fuel pump because that's probably clogged to more than likely if you have the money of course..

Would that be the same for a 2006 Town and Country? I can't see myself. I have the 3.3. I'm needing to replace the fuel pump, and fuel tank. One of my metal tabs that lock the fuel pump down rusted off.

@@orochish532 usually you use a flat headed screwdriver with a hammer and bang counterclockwise on the tabs at an angle until they loosen up if all of them break then it should just pop right out LOL

@@jamesbradyjr8067 I actually just got done replacing the tank, and fuel pump like 10 minutes ago. My "new" tank doesn't have the leak issue. Great! 😃👍 I can't seem to find the fuel filter along the lines anywhere. Also, Great! 😃👍 Just makes it easier. I just hope this new fuel pump last. This was not fun by any means. I definitely saved a ton of money. It makes me wonder if the o-ring just wasn't bad. I mean, I still have all the tabs on the old tank. How they're positioned, it looks the same as the "new" one. I don't know. It's fixed now though lol.

The fuel pump works but I was told there is in inline fuel filter that might be in top of tank. 2004 dodge grandcaravan sxt.

I was told my Dodge caravan 2005 doesnt have a fuel filter, dropped the tank down and didn't have one. Its integrated with the fuel pump.

This is true on most newer vehicles , depending on the year you can have both a fuel strainer and a fuel pump or just a fuel stariner that's located in the tank

@@fixergoodI am almost 100 percent certain non stow and go caravans 01-07 use the cheaper fuel pump and Stow and go caravans use the more expensive fuel pump. the early vans 01 -04 ish have the external filter and later ones 04 up mostly have the integrated filter but you would have to look to know for sure because they built them both ways.

I have a 2014 caravan with a flex fuel Pentastar engine. I checked the Owner Manual and was unable to find anything regarding the Fuel Filter and other KZbin videos have no info on the 5th gen minivans.

The camera is too close you can't tell where exactly on the car it's looking you can only tell it's right on the spot.. use the back the camera so that you know which location in the car under the car you can't tell

I am getting a thermostat reading too so I think it was the problem whichs making sense because when car is warm it doesn't give me problems

Thanks for watchin usually to determine if you have a bad fuel filter you have to take it off you might as well change it. To determine a bad fuel pump you can either test fuel pressure or wave form the pump with a ocilascope. Thanks for watchin.

It might be one of your sensors replace a couple small sensors on it I had the same problem but right now I can't remember what sensor I replace that made it stop doing that but my 2003 Caravan was doing exactly the same

@@YOPHILLYYO there should be two tabs on the little hose instead of pushing the tabs in they pop up and you pull out that's the best I can describe it sometimes you need a real small flat head just to barely pry up on the tab on each side but you don't want to break them either or you're in trouble.

fixer good - can I buy it separately bcuz at the auto parts and on eBay they say it's sold together as a unit with the fuel pump.

You should be able to there are some models that the fuel strainer on the fuel pump module is the the fuel filter, in that case you dont have a fuel filter the best way to know is look under your car on the side that has the gas door on it and follow your fuel line to the engine and look for a fuel filter. If you cant find it you have one of ty he few tha dident have a fuel filter as a option at the factory. 2016 doesn't have a fuel filter, they call it one buts it's not,it's a fuel strainer and it's part of the fuel pump and there usually changed when the pump goes bad .

for the dodge caravan of this vintage the 2.4,3.0,3.3,3.8 should have this style of fuel filter if your not finding one your looking at a diffrent body style than the one I'm showing in the video

@@fixergood I have the 3.8 engine and there is no outside fuel filter. It is part of the fuel pump that is inside the fuel tank. There is no separate fuel filter for this engine.
