I thoroughly enjoy your trips to the Vosges. I’m planning a trip based on on your M1000r and this one, then heading to Sauerland and Lippstad to reminisce my army days. Keep up the good work 👍

Great video Tim, i have a friend who lives just outside Trier and often stop by on tour. Visited Stalag Luft III in August this year, well worth the ride and an interesting place to visit for those with an interest.

Thanks for that Tim another fine tail of derringer-do that is sobering. To think that “Big X” met his end on that scrubby patch of soil is quite depressing. Great roads and twisty bits with the MT10 howling away. As with the Black Forest we find the weather in that region can be ‘iffy’ at anytime of the year and road closures are indeed a common occurrence. Bring on the next episode asap.

Thank you! And agree, it's a very odd spot. There's another episode up tomorrow, then the final one will probably be on Monday if I can pull my finger out and upload it!

The Maginot line must be the dumbest bit of military infrastructure ever built; the Germans had already used Belgium to try and invade France in the first world war so it should have been expected that any future German invasion would come by that route, instead of across the Rhine, which is a natural defence.

Fantastic riding and routes with my sense of English humour 😅😅 but with the added historical info of the lost brave people from the wars of Europe, keep it up 👍 Is this something you just choose a week and go or do you plan and organise small group tours of these fabulous places 🤔

What a fascinating piece of history, myself n the missus are off to stalag luft 3 and colditz may 2025, along with Berchtesgaden and Bastogne, our route takes us past Ramstein airbase so I’m gonna look for this memorial, we’re also staying in Trier!! Look forward to the next vid, is there any pointers where I can actually find this memorial? Thanks Tim

Great vid. I have a dumb question……but hopefully fits in a way with reviews (that came out wrong)……what’s the best looking, or coolest WW2 tank? I realise we can argue T34, King Tiger, Sherman etc can win in certain aspects, but if you were buying with your own money, which would you choose, using all the emotion of what makes bikes and cars (ie not the one that can take the biggest hits 😃).

The childishness of your humour knows no bounds Tim 🫡 Goes some way towards balancing out the horrors of roadside executions and such 👍🏻
