My favorite place in Chinatown is the Golden Unicorn - it occupies 2-3 floors in a building on E Broadway, I've been going there for dim sum for 30 years and for 3 decades there has always been a wait to eat dim sum there because its so popular. If you go outside of dim sum hours the portion sizes are large and the food is amazing
@dengster88845 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Holloway Golden Unicorn is by no means “cheap eats” though
@jazzminb5 жыл бұрын
@@dengster8884 its reasonably priced eats though 😉 it could be cheap eats when you consider 1 of their regular dishes is enough to feed 2 people because the portions are so big

Prosperity Dumpling is way better than Fried Dumpling, and they're finally back after being closed for ages! Their new location is called King Dumplings, at 74 Hester St.
@3dplanet1005 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for your suggestion. Am visiting Chinatown soon, and I was researching about the dumplings and it looks yummy and I would like to try it, and to come at this location!! Question, since its my first time ordering dumplings, is the order comes individually? Or if I order one order of dumplings, it comes, say like 3 or 4? Also, I was reading that dumplings comes fried and boiled. In that location they has the boiled ones? And does the dumplings have meat inside? Or is it comes in different kinds, such as meat, vegetables, ect? And/or what else inside? Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

There is a place on Catharine Street that is awesome. And cheap too. The room you sit in to eat is very small and an interior room, no windows. The food is fantastic. You walk in and there’s a counter and you walk through to get to sit in room. Worth looking for, sorry I don’t have the name.

Hi. Just subscribed to your channel. Im a cyclist in connecticut. Ive cycled all over ct for 4 yrs and recently purchased a pretty pricey electric bike. Ive ventured out to rhode island, Massachusetts, and Newyork, then finally NYC. Ive been here when i was very young but dont remember the city that much. I did a ton of research, and watched hours of youtube videos to educate myself with cycling in the city. I fell in love with the city .my first ride was north on the hudson river greenway , before the Gw bridge and biked all the way down and around pass battery park to the end pass the two bridges. Checked out freedom tower. Times sguare, central park, and finally back up the hudson greenway. Ill be back many more times. Ive been watching a lot of your videos and gotten many ideas. What i cant find though are more food that can be ordered and eaten outside. Im very nervous leaving my bike, even locked so im looking for places to eat where i can just pull up, order and eat. Any recommendations? Or maybe you can make a possible video for cyclist? Those couple of places in china town i will be Definetly be checking out. Thanks for the great videos.

The tastiest Chinese food I've found so far has to be Shanghai 21 on Mott St. Their szechuan dumplings are unbelievable. Also, King's Dumplings on Hester St. does 50 frozen dumplings for $11 which is a super cheap way to enjoy good food at home, they do 11 (hot) dumplings for $5 in store. I prefer the rice noodle cart on the corner of hester and elizabeth (across the block from 'deluxe food market'). Their rice noodles are made to order and are usually better tasting. My go-to order is the pork rice noodle, with an egg! My only tip with that cart is that you need to eat it asap after buying as they get firmer and not as good as it cools down!

Instant subscriber thanks to this video. Thanks for this excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT video!!! I am embarrassed though as a now (32 years this month 7/15) ex-New Yorker (born & raised in Manhattan), I’d only been to Chinatown TWICE in my life and the last time was a year before I moved out of NYC in 1986 hanging out with friends and we went to a restaurant (no, I don’t remember the name of the place) at 3am and had a full course meal that was superb! Like I believe many of us native New Yorkers are, we take what we believe to be the tourist spots for granted, I’ve never been to the Empire State Building and I’ve only been to the Statue of Liberty twice in my life first time as an elementary school student and the second time was when I took my son there when he was 8 or 9 and that was the last time as I was done doing the tourist thing (I told him the next time he goes there, it’ll be with his own kids). We tend to take these things for granted as I’ve yet to go to Little Italy as an example but I did make it to Windows on the World, the famed restaurant on the 110th floor of the Twin Towers. I must check out a couple of these spots next month when I go home for my annual visit. Thanks for the list!
