Do you find that the wire basket adds any issues being on the side of the yak ? Great video guys, They where stacked up on that bridge.

I do not, not when doing this type of fishing. Now if I’m in the creek and have to paddle then I have to put basket in kayak with me because it messes up the steering of the yak. Post spawn fish. We were catching fish back in february and first part of March in a foot of water. Not so much now. We are catching them around bridge pillars now. These fish are heading back out. IMO ONLY!

You are fishing like it is supposed to be done I fished with a Manns jelly grub I think it was the first plastics and just used regular rods did not have croppie rods used a 7 ft fly rod sometimes with minnows favorite hair and feather jig was red black and yellow caught a lot of fish before electronics luck to you I really don't have a place now that a old man can get to and no one to go with me

I was looking for one those crappie measuring things. I think I remember seeing in one of your videos were you mentioned to buy a certain type because some are not wide enough for the bigger crappie and it will give you a false measurement. What brand did you recommend?

I don’t know where you are, but we don’t have a shortage of crappie here in Texas. 1 female crappie can lay up to 80,000 eggs, yes half don’t make it etc but still I am well within my limits.
