Not everyone has the PC version bud. It's gotta work for console too (save your negative comments on consoles if you have any, I won't hear it). I have Horizon Zero Dawn and it has no loading screens apart from entering the game and fast travel. FPS is very consistent and frame dips are barely noticeable, with practically Witcher 3 graphics (if not better). Fallout 4 stutters in dense places, and its graphics are worse, and loading screens happen every time you fart. They clearly need to optimize. More importantly, they need a completely new engine. A brand new and much better engine, that way we may get fewer performance hits, bugs, and loading screens would occur. Bethesda needs to step up, age is quickly catching up to them. If their next game just uses the same dying gambryo (renamed Creation) engine, I won't buy it. Skyrim SE was the last straw. Ever since that infamous patch, I get the occasional stutter. And some areas don't run smooth especially Riften and its hold. Sorry for rambling. I needed that unnecessary bit off my chest.

Both Minutemen and BoS require strong leadership. Did you guys forget about Elijah and Helios ONE? And McNamara locking BoS in the bunker not making any progress. And Lyons with whom many didnt agree, splitting BoS in 2 small factions which weakened them. The difference is in ideals. Whlie Minutemen want to help people, BoS dont care about them. They care about technology, not for the sake of using it to help no, just for hoarding it. Minutemen give everybody an equal chance while BoS harm non-human even if they just want to live their lives in peace.

Actually in 2013 obsidian was asked how they feel about making a new Vegas He said it would be cool but would rather go to LA but u said it got most of the bombs which is true hence the name of the bone yard or (LA) because it had the most deaths by bombs but what u never said was that by 2281 the NCR went into LA and build back most of the buildings and got most of the radiation gone which made it the NCRs new headquarters so it is of corse possible to have a game in LA but I think a game in like a national forest would be cool with mountains and stuff

I'm pretty sure the UK and most of the world was nuked. If not during the great war then during the resource wars before it when Europe and the Middle East were fighting each other. The U.K definitely didn't have Vaults though, Vault-tec was secretly run by the U.S government/Enclave so they only cared about saving America. The U.K didn't have enough time and money to invest in their own vaults either, too busy fighting the Middle East for oil, which eventually ran out and it seems only America had fusion energy meaning even if people did survive in Europe they aren't living a very spectacular life, they are simple farmers at best.

Personally I feel the Great Lakes region would be really cool place to have a Fallout game take place. First, you have Flint, Detroit, and Lansing to explore. Second, there could be boat travel to get to certain areas in the game because of the Great Lakes. Third and finally, like Chicago, there are many skyscrapers in places like Detroit and Lansing and I personally feel that Michigan and the Great Lakes region would be nearly intact due to the little strategic areas in Michigan.

I guess collapsed ruins of New York City and Frank Sinatra song-New York, New York in the background would be cool, also hidden sub tunnels leading to Atlanta Enclave secret base may bring something familiar to the table. I've been thinking about settlements, hidden locations, bunkers and vaults placed around ruins of New York City.Introduction may show how the Enclave forces destroyed entire city and enslaved citizens, nevertheless Brotherhood of Steel force them to fallback to Atlanta fortress which obviously won't be the last stand for the remnants.Bethesda Softworks should also improve fully functional tanks, HMV's, trucks,motorcycles, petrol schematics, modifications, mechanic perks for repairs etc...

Chicago, Michigan, Texas, and and even the north western united states would be interesting places for a fallout 5 to take place. Chicago would have the eastern brotherhood and maybe the enclave clash with small rebel groups from towns opposing both. Michigan might have brotherhood influence, but it could be a chance to introduce new factions in general. Texas is mostly legion controlled on the entire top half of the state, and while i'm from Texas, i don't think its the strongest or most likely location for a fallout game to take place (but you never know since Vegas was influential to what would happen to the south west united states). And finally, the northern western us would have scattered NCR influence along the west coast along side the brotherhood of steel that's stationed there.

Based on conversations with Raul Tejada in new Vegas the border doesn't really exist anymore after the war and survivors freely moved back and forth. Could always explore the region he talks about two sun and the area around it. That would also allow for incorporation of more Desert Rangers lore.

My suggestion? Charleston, South Carolina (along with Columbia and the surrounding areas). Huge port city, lots of history as being an old city, and the surrounding area has a lot of interesting locales and strategic points. Fort Jackson is based out of Columbia, SC and is the largest of the U.S. Army training centers that does Basic Combat Training. Shaw Air Force Base is one of the largest AFBs on the east coast (it's head to USAF's Central Command) and about 40 miles from Columbia (which is about the distance of Primm, NV to Las Vegas, NV as seen in FO:NV) and is based in Sumter, SC - which is a major site in the American Civil War. Lots of interesting history to explore along with usable locations. Plus, it'd be something different and not normally seen. In fact, we haven't seen barely anything of the American southeast in the Fallout series.

I think Arizona/Colorado would be really cool. I could see a giant group of people that fight the Legion. So as the NCR begins to push the Legion back, the Legion tries to recruit more Arizonians from the south and Coloradoians from the east. But there could be a more scrappy group that tries to hold off the Legion and they fight over the Rockies. I think a massive battle on top of the Rocky Mountains would be insane!

I think something like San Antonio or Austin could be a setting. Texas like cali has different environments and as mentioned before there's a minor brotherhood chapter there. Also it could be neat if like it's revealed that the NCR eventually beat the legion and had continued spreading to parts of Texas which can set up another plot of cities or settlements not wanting to be absorbed. What we really need is a fallout game in Denver, Colorado due to the fact that it has a fairly centered location and is on the border of many factions such as Caesar's Legion from the west, the Brotherhood of Steel from the east, and various other factions coming from all over. There is also the fact that Denver is a pretty big city with many different types of areas all around it like mountains and plains. We could even have some DLC taking place in the Rocky Mountains or maybe one that has you follow the Colorado River down to the Hoover Dam to see what's happening there. There's tons of potential here, mostly from where it is in relation to the rest of the country. I think that would be a pretty great game, but it's also a bit biased as i live in Colorado.

For some reason, Tulsa Oklahoma popped into my head but after doing a little thinking, how about South Dakota especially the area of the Black Hills National Forest and surrounding area? There's a city/town called Sturgis. You got Mount Rushmore, at least a few caves. There's some history there. And although they wouldn't need to make everything authentic, they can use bits and pieces from the park and the surrounding area. I'm not sure about any subway system but that may not be needed especially with caves present. You got a few medium size cities so they probably wouldn't have been blown to kingdom come like New York. Other places that may be interesting would be Atlanta, Washington, Wyoming, Texas and Michigan.

Maybe a Floridian city(s)? The Far Harbor idea could be adopted allowing you to take a boat up and down the Floridian coast to cities like Saint Augustine, Miami, Orlando, the everglades, or maybe even the Bahamas. This would eliminate the need for one massive map and allow several smaller ones which will give each location a different feel to it.

Shane S actually I don't think it does. Sure Philadelphia & New York were hit but it never states if it was direct. Look at the glowing sea. W/SW of Boston proper to maximize the nuclear fallout. Most likely the same with the others. There's also a holotape on the prydwen called 'Maxson was right'. A BOS soldier voices some thoughts & mentions that during the trip to the Commonwealth they flew past "city after city. Some with buildings tall enough to graze the prydwen". Based on the likely route taken it's reasonable to assume that one of those cities is NY. Which means they're mostly intact. Also, we have to consider Maccready, Deacon, Madison Lee, Sierra Petrovita, & possibly the COA's ability to travel on foot from DC to Boston. If it's nothing but glowing seas between the 2 regions how'd they do it? So yeah, NYC area is probably game viable.

You'd be surprised how much wouldn't be hit by nukes but were only effected by the shifting of the earth and ultimately the aftermath. The only logical way the whole planet could get nuked, is if the nuclear powers just felt like nuking everywhere they could.

Chicago sounds like a good idea. Also a revisit to the Capital Wasteland would be nice, with it being rebuilt (similar to the NCR) and facing a new threat. Maybe have the game in Baltimore (I'm from there, so it'd be cool), where the protagonist faces the antagonistic threat(s) to society in the region. Florida could be a good spot for FO5, too; a lot of people before the war, a lot of big cities, etc. Maybe even in Alaska, where society there faces Russian incursions and Chinese remnants.

How about more West coast? Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, California and the parts of Mexico that border California. In Oregon and Washington, bordering the water, could have different groups. What about an abandoned Chinese stealth sub or American aircraft carriers? Just putting my idea out..

The region of the former state of Washington would be interesting because of the possibility of diverse natural spaces like deserts in the east (real deserts like in Fallout and Fallout 2), Mountains in the middle and the coastal region consisting of swamps, plains and of course old Seattle itself. They already made an aircraft carrier in Fallout 3 and a chinese submarine in Fallout 4, though.

Texas would be cool. We have the Alamo which would be a cool landmark to see if any of the factions used it as an outpost. It would look really cool when you travel since there are 4 regions (Great Plains, Central Plains, Coastal Plains, and the Mountains and Basins). Also the somewhat varied climates would be a fun to see in game.

The Midwestern Brotherhood is my favorite as in one ending they become a mutant friendly state. I would like to see a nation much like the NC but more miltary focused with the Midwestern Brotherhood as the center peice. Me and my friends thought it would be awesome if it took place on Denver with a war going on between the NCPR ( New Commonwealth Provisional Government) and the CoS (Confederacy of Steel)

I'd like to see a new Fallout based in St. Louis. In the 50s it was a huge industrial area surrounded by all sorts of wilderness. Also the Mississippi and the whole "gateway to the west" thing would be pretty cool and would give us some interesting lore as to what is happening in the Midwest

Wherever, I really want them to make Nick Valentine a repeating character. It makes sense, in his house you can find logs about sighting and his search of the mysterious stranger. So you could totally find a grittier Nick on the hunt, and befriend him, even if he is a much lesser character. He was just so interesting and developed. One of my favorite parts of Fallout 4.

I think Chicago will be a really good idea because of the diversity there is in tbe city with each neighborhood have in a different race. Like downtown where there's white people or the south side or lower west side where its more latinos. I feel that this will create different groups between the city and maybe the main character will not be in a white person person.

I like your simplistic HUD. that makes gameplay really immersive. As much as I would love to see LA, Fallout 1 already covered it. it's called the Boneyard, and I doubt Bethesda would overlap games. they'd get too much hate from the fan base. I would love to see NYC. it wouldn't necessarily have to take place in Manhattan, it could be gang turf wars in Long Island or the mouth of the NY harbor.
