It seems like he studied a lot when he was young, both in terms of his ability to use the words he speak and his ability to think. I came to the US in my mid-20's and have been living here for 41 years now, and i think his English speaking skills are at a much higher level than most who have lived here for a long time. 저는 영어를 구사하는 능력이 사람의 인품이나 각 개인의 능력을 평가하는 기준을 말하려는것이 아니라 외국에 나와있는 교포로서 상당히 흥미있게 들었읍니다. 아마 제가 같은 내용으로해도 그나이가 돼서 말할 기회가 됐을때는 어떨까 하는 생각을하였읍니다. 아무쪼록 좋은 한국에서의 시간이 되길..... I'm sure it wasn't intentional and didn't know any better. But korean culture if someone offers you food they aren't offering it because they don't want it. They are genuinely being kind. For you to say "mashi obsoyo" is rude. Even if you had said "amu mashi obsoyo" it would have been better. But if someone offers you something just pretend to like it and move on. Difference between american and korean culture.

When you say Heajangguk and Doenjangguk,, You better emphasis on the first letter 'Hae' or 'Doen', and the letters follow are the same 'jangguk' you can even mumble 'jangguk' part . I'm sorry but when I hear what you said, it sounds like 'Haonjangguk', Next time, just shout 'Hae' and 1 sec of silence and say 'jangguk'.
