True. Watching “Where is Lucy” is like meditation to me. Her videos bring peacefulness, contentment, watching her simple lifestyle with Lahore in tranquil surroundings. You hear about powerful nations uniting for peace. However the only way they can prevent wars is by more destruction and wining wars! Some attacking weak nations and others fighting for world power making life miserable for poor nations with sanctions and restrictions that cause inflation and unavailability of essential commodities. Lucy and Lahiru look like they are still enjoying everyday life in simple ways in a country that has no foreign exchange to buy fuel and with unreliable electric power. I guess that it is their love for animals, and the natural beauty of Sri Lanka the greenery, the beaches, a land where anything grows any time of the year with trees and plants that bear edible fruits and vegetables that keep them happy.

Best care site has dog n cat food and they deliver depends where you live My family also feedstrays and for them we make from fud city minced meat fish One sweet potatoes Pieces of pumpkin bunch of spinach if you have bit of dhal put it salt boil it Make it like soup add also table spoon n half that chicken mince meat two salaya fish (remove bone first ) mix that soup with rice n give to dog

Fantastic video. Lahiru and you always cheer up an otherwise busy hectic life in England. Your Sinhalese is coming on great and although I studied in Singhalese I have forgotten most words. Lahiru has got little bit of your accent. Hope the people take over Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka becomes a multi national country as it was when we lived in the 50's and some of the 1960's,with freedom to do lots of things.

Love the green world around you. Equally fascinating is the Yattagala temple precincts with so many rock formations that resemble a cave like effect. My heart bleeds when I see the plastic and polythene that’s thrown everywhere by locals. It’s something that will always be ubiquitous here, because, half the population that go to serene places have only one motive: have fun, nothing else matters. If they had a genuine feeling for the places they visit they wouldn’t pollute the environment in such an ugly manner.I live close to the Polgolla Dam in Kandy, I see polluted still water that is flooded with plastic. It’s a forever present hazard despite army checkpoints etc. The mentality of the polluter is inexplicable. I hope you had enough water to drink to get yourself re-hydrated after all that cycling, and your sunburns weren’t that troublesome. Appreciate your effort to learn our language and Lahiru’s perseverance in getting his English right. Truly enjoyed looking at nature in your video this week.

Great to see you two having a day out. That Temple was so beautiful. There are no petrol queues in the UK but petrol is £2/litre!!! Maybe that explains why there aren't queues. Anyone, like myself, who doesn't have to drive, is just not driving but like you said, I do feel sorry for those who drive for a living or have to drive to get to work. Good that you have bikes but I hope you have locks for them as they might be stolen when you are at the Temple or beach or cafe. I'm guessing there is a shortage of bikes to buy so please get some locks. Not everyone is honest as you have already learnt with your break in. Speaking of power cuts you really could do with a Jackery solar powered generator like lots of van lifers seem to use. Maybe reach out to them and they might sponsor you with one?

The temple was incredible! Possibly our favourite so far 🙂 Oh wow, the cost is insane.. everything has gone up in price. There are very few bikes available for buying now. I went to the city a couple days back and was looking for a bicycle for my friend, but there is nothing left!! I've been looking into Jackary actually, I really like there products, so will see if i can source it in SL 🙂
