Well, after going through FOUR Firesticks that ALL shit-out just after 6months time, I abanded them altogether for a bit and tried Google TV streaming devices. Then I saw an excellent deal on the Fire Cube 3rd Gen and have never looked back since. Strictly my opinion but the Fire Cube 3rd Gen is such a capable device and controls ALL my video/audio devices with simple "voice" commands it has just been rock-solid for me in well over a years usage over my dismal experience using FireSticks.

I've had the 4k max firestick for several years. Fairly reliable with certain streaming apps. If you can afford it get a shield though which has a super high spec for streaming.

I’ve been using a 4k 1st gen for 4 years and it’s still working well. I did think about upgrading but I don’t think I would notice much difference.

I was once a firestick owner but moved on to the Walmart onn 4k box 20 dollar version and the Walmart onn 4k pro streaming box. 50 dollar version in my opinion it's better than any firestick out there with 32 gigs of storage, is just one thing that made me switch. There's other features that love about onn devices.

Yes, I got the fire stick 4K max but multiple problems are coming with it on certain apps that I get. I get a lot of buffering tried everything on troubleshooting plugged into the wall directly into the wall everything but it seems to be after using it a lot. It still keeps doing what it’s doing, because the design in the fire stick does not have a thing to keep to stick from getting hot, but I switch off and on other fire sticks to let one cool down I’m using the other one I’m done trying to figure it out. Maybe come up one day to stop it from getting so hot. Keep cracking on thanks for the info. God bless peace out.

I moved away from firestick last year as i was sick of the amount of bloatware that I never used. Is it worth buying any more firesticks as with the new Vega OS incoming?? I switched to Nvidia Shield TV, no bloatware, you can turn off what you don't use and turn back on no problem. Bout time you started doing vids on Nvidia Shield, bud. Still watch your vids tho. 😂

The Firesticks have got expensive over the last few years. Lite use to be £19.99 when released & the HD was £29.99. Only ever buy when on Offer. Got the HD with Volume Control for a present for someone just so they can control the volume on the same remote. Got a 4K Gen 3 back in 2019 at £34.99. Would never buy when not on offer. Only reason to buy Firestick these days is for official apps & the fact it works off the TV USB Power. The Screen Mirroring is better than Chromecast as it will mirror anything including the PC as my ITX has WiDi out on the Motherboard.
