Because I get questions as to what paper I am using, although it is mentioned in the TITLE of this video and also in the DESCRIPTION area, I will mentioned it in this pinned comment. The paper used is called RixCanDoIt Quick Transfer Paper. It is available from rixcandoit.com website. Cheers!

Working from right to left at the very end when you lay them out is how I would rank the results. I believe the other one would have worked also. Maybe require thick layer, and longer time to adhere.
@imagetransferswithrix Жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. What I would not do is make the layer thicker. This causes the paper to become too wet and thus wrinkle. Also, you can easily smear the image with any slight movement when you use too much adhesive.

I have loved your videos and recently bought some of your Quick Transfer Paper. My question is, can you use (or have you used) CD label paper to transfer images to wood, glass, etc.?
@imagetransferswithrix Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've used many/most methods, including wax paper, label paper, etc. Yes, you can transfer images using all these methods and more. It comes down to 'preference' and ease-of-use. I did not like the label paper or wax paper approach for multiple reasons. It's a pull method (no moisture release) that can potentially result in pulling part of the image off. It has more 'tug' to it. Also, if label paper, you either have to deal with peeling off labels and wasting them (unless you use them). And a minor concern is that Laser printers work off a heating element (I used to repair laser printers in the 90's). Having 'wax' go through my printer where there is a 'hot' element mildly concerns me especially if you print transfers as often as I do. It really comes down to preference. You can simply use regular printer paper and the soak and rub method. Many folks, including myself, can't stand soaking and rubbing. The mess, the potential for damaging the image, etc. HTH

When you say drying, I mean completely dry and then with it and come off? I tried my pods the orange bottle with the white bottle in the blue bottle and I’m having nothing but trouble I can’t find Liquitex medium gel
@imagetransferswithrix Жыл бұрын
The brand of Gel Medium isn't important. And completely dry is completely dry, no matter the glue. That paper should not be able to be pulled off when dry. If you can peel it off, either it is not dry or not glued at all (ie. doesn't stick to that type of surface). The only way the paper should peel off if glued correctly is that it is moistened and then peeled as designed.

Can i use polycrylic? If so how long foni let ut sit? Will any transfer paper work?
@imagetransferswithrix Жыл бұрын
What other transfer paper? I'm not aware of any. This is about the RixCanDoIt Quick Transfer Paper. And I would not recommend polycrylic as the glue. You can certainly use it as a protective coating after making the transfer.

I want to do word transfer on decoupage… do you think it’s possible with this transfer paper? Or on painted wood ?
@imagetransferswithrix2 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "word" transfer? Transferring words? That would be no different than transferring any image. Words are images when printed on paper. Just print it mirrored.
@AbsoluteAwesomeVibes2 жыл бұрын
@@imagetransferswithrix yes… that part i got! But can i do the transfer on top of say napkin decoupage on jar or bottle? Just bought some paper btw!

Can you put a plan picture without it on transfer paper and it work?
@imagetransferswithrix Жыл бұрын
You can take a picture/photo and glue it to something, sure. But this is about 'transferring' a picture. You can't actually 'transfer' a picture using plain paper. The picture would be part of the paper itself. If you use a print on regular paper and glue it image side down onto something, you could soak the paper and rub off the back. Eventually the picture will show through. There are videos using plain paper. It's messy, time consuming, you risk rubbing off some of the image, and you need to spray it with clear coat or something in order to combat the paper 'haze' that is usually left behind. Personally, I prefer being able to glue, dry in 3-4 minutes, moisten and peel right off like butter. :-)

I need to make 15 center piece planters. Each planter is going to be 4x4 with 4 tiles need to make 60 tile . My question is the paper you sell is going to be enough? Trying to see if is cost effective.
@imagetransferswithrix2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the image size for the tile. Each sheet is 8.5 x 11 so you can calculate how many images you can put on each sheet.
