Really good explanation. Local practices will often have all of these options and even when they explain it is confusing until you here it detailed a few different ways.

I had three laser treatments of BBL/Moxi, spaced 4-5 weeks apart. I decided to get this done to treat brown spots on my forehead and cheeks and fine lines around my mouth. At each treatment session, I received 2 passes of BBL on my face, neck, and chest, and 5 passes of Moxi. By the time it got to the fourth pass of Moxi, it was starting to really burn and hurt, even after having had numbing cream. There was a down time of a week or so due to redness, MENDS, some peeling, etc...Fast forward...After the treatments, I still have the fine lines around my mouth, and I still have the brown spots, although they are a bit lighter. I am out over $3,000, and there was no money-back guarantee if the laser didn't work. I am sick that I spent my hard earned money on these laser treatments. They didn't work at all and made no improvement in my skin. I should have gone with CO2 or Erbium, but my provider assured me beforehand that BBL/Moxi would take care of these skin issues. She was very wrong!

Though you weren't seen at our practice, we're sorry about your experience. It's critical to see the right provider who will prepare you with the education you need about the treatment and will be sensitive to your budget. Maybe you were a candidate for just one Halo Pro treatment (better than CO2 and Erbium)? Researching the provider and interviewing their team is critical before undergoing any treatment.

Had the bbl and it did not get rid of my brown spots. I also did the CO2 fraxel laser with hopes of reducing or diminishing the brown spots. Guess what, brown spots still present!! CO2 fraxel laser will not remove brown spots. The only thing that has helped me is the freezing spray which the nurse used on these spots. I go about every 4 months for this treatment. Be careful because if your provider isn’t careful, you can end up with a white spot in place of your brown spots. Brown spots, such as mine, are definitely harder to remove. Good luck on your journey. 😊

@@patm6412 I also had the "freezing spray" on my brown spots. I believe it is frozen nitrogen? I had that done before I tried the lasers. Unfortunately it did not lighten my brown spots at all. But I'm glad it worked for you! :)

@@RejuvenationMD I completely agree with you. You are right--I really should have done better research before having MOXI/BBL done. I have since learned that MOXI is better suited for younger women, those who have just the beginning signs of aging or even those who don't yet have any signs of aging (for the purpose of "pre-juvination", as it is called). I've also learned that MOXI is ineffective for treating age-related lines around the mouth, and that I really needed some type of ablative laser instead. My provider (not you) should have known all of this. But I can't help but feel that she mislead me in order to get my business and my hard-earned money. Before I decided to have treatment, she assured me that I was a "great candidate" for MOXI/BBL and that I would be "pleased with the results". But after having two of the three pre-paid laser treatments and expressing my concerns that my peri-oral lines weren't getting any better, she said, "Well, there's only so much that MOXI can do." If only she had told me this BEFORE I paid for those treatments---I never would have had them done.

I am 70 young and had no BBL and Halo never again !! Painful BBL with great results. Halo nothing. I am going in for moxie need week

What are your thoughts comparing the results and abilities of: C&B, pico, fraxel. What are the pros and cons of each. Compare them to Halo, Moxi and Bbl There are so many options and It is so hard to make a decision. Thank you for any info you can provide

Hello, thanks for the information. I had 2 halo and 4 bbl during 4 years. I still have some very light sunspots on my skin. Which one do you recommend me? Which type is effective for light spots?

Both are effective for eliminating sun spots, but it really depends on your skin type and whether you're staying out of the sun. We recommend a minimum of 1 BBL and 1 Halo Pro every year to stay on top of skin health and to keep skin clear of sun damage/sun spots. But, to your question, Halo Pro does a better job in getting rid of sunspots. Make sure your provider has the Pro version that will treat unwanted pigmentation as well as resurface.

Im 38f, mild freckles and brown spots,have extremely sensitive fair skin with rosacea and flushing. My main concerns are dull, dry skin with redness. I took accutane 3 years ago for acne. Still get mild breakouts but when I do they leave red dots. What would you recommend BBL, Moxi or halo?

A series of BBL to start. BBL can help control rosacea and it's great for managing acne. It will stimulate new collagen growth and improve the molecular health of your skin.

Can laser skin treatments (IPL?) lighten small moles/birthmarks or is it only for aging spots? What's the best way to blend in moles/birthmarks? thanks.

IPL is a light treatment. We prefer Sciton's BBL (broadband light) because it's the best IPL technology and yes, BBL treatments can minimize or even eliminate birthmarks and moles. Halo Pro Laser treatments can do this as well. But, your provider will need to asses the mark and recommend the best course of treatment.

If my provider only has BBL but not BBL Hero, would it still be effective to get “regular” BBL on areas of my body like hands/arms? Or should I try to find a provider who does Hero specifically?

BBL Forever Young will reverse the genetic expression of age in genes. The Hero is faster, but the older model is still effective!

If I was going to pick just one. What is the best bang for the buck? Will Halo address the same things as Moxi and BBL plus extra things ? Do you need more than one Halo treatment ?

We recommend 1 Halo a year. Halo will eliminate sun damage and stimulate new collagen. If you have broken vessels or redness as well as sun damage, BBL could be more ideal for you. We especially love BBL because it's proven to reverse aging at the molecular level-- but not every skin type is a candidate for the treatment.
