Awesome video comparison. I own a full size Rotoboss and a PiBurn. The Rotoboss has been nothing but headaches from day 1 - poorly assembled, wired wrong, nothing square, stripped and glued in bolts, parts fall off constantly, etc. The clamps and accessories I got with it are great, but that's the extent of it. The PiBurn is like a work of art - it's super well built. Someone complained about having to assemble it, but that saves on shipping, and it's super easy to assemble, and includes all of the tools you need for any fasteners. Couldn't be happier.

Wow! I didn’t run into those issues with mine but I have had a few friends tell me they had wiring issues too. As for the assembly part, I didn’t mind it so much. They have a great video that shows you how to do it. It took me about. 10 minutes.

We just purchased the Monport 80W with the PiBurn rotary. THey didn't offer the RotoBoss so I am glad that I picked the better of the two. It's funny because you put a Yeti Rambler wine tumbler on the BiPurn and I happen to have a set for a client which had me completely puzzled on how I was going to accomplish that shape.

As a full size Rotoboss user I have mine set up with the motor on the left and I might be doing things wrong, but I've never mirrored an image or text before engraving. The Pi Burn support videos are necessary because it needs to be assembled. The Rotoboss has four attachment feet with magnets that stick to the rails under the knife blades on my Boss Laser. I'd like to see how the PiBurn would attach with its center post mount. With that said the PiBurn looks like a solid unit and I've never seen a complaint about it.

Thanks for another fantastic video Emily! I can't begin to tell you how helpful your videos have been for me during every step of my laser journey so thanks so much for what you do! I'm about to purchase the Piburn and I'm just wondering if you typically use the magnetic feet? Just wondering if there is any advantage to having them for the Mira 7?
@ThatMomWithALaser3 жыл бұрын
It makes me so happy to hear that! I haven’t used the feet bc it lessens the amount of clearance I have with my cups on the Mira. I don’t think they are necessary for our machines :)

After watching your videos I am 97% sure I am purchasing a Mira 7 and have already completed the interest survey from Aeon USA (I mentioned that your KZbin channel brought me there). Sorry to check back in so quickly, but I have two questions. . . (1) I love the look of the Piburn from your videos, but was planning to buy the Aeon Chuck Rotary when I purchase the Mira 7. Would you skip the Aeon Rotary and go straight for the Piburn or should I have both? (2) Can you share any information about the Aeon USA response time? I have reached out through their survey (once) and their chat (twice) and have not heard from anyone. I haven't tried to call, but will try that tomorrow. . .any thoughts about this would be helpful.
@ThatMomWithALaser3 жыл бұрын
@@giftsfromthemagi1842 No need to apologize. They have a preorder special right now so the basic rotary is included with it. I would take it as it will be helpful with odd items like baseball bats and rolling pins. I would not go for the Aeon chuck and put that money towards a PiBurn. I’m happy to reach out to Aeon ok your behalf to make sure they aren’t missing your inquiries. Just PM me your name on Instagram or Facebook.

Hi I am new to rotarty and laser attachments. What is the difference between the Standard Fixed Feet Magnetic Adjustable Feet?
@ThatMomWithALaser3 жыл бұрын
No problem. The magnetic feet are optional and help to keep the whole rotary still. I don’t use them because I don’t have enough clearance on my machine with them. It’s not necessary but nice if there’s enough room for them.

You could make one of these things with a 3D printer and a handful of parts off McMaster for around $300. They really aren't that complicated of a device.
