Rayleigh himself tells him that the best way to get stronger is to face hardships and walls that his current self (which was around the end of his training with Ray) couldn't face. That didn't happen until Katakuri, hody jones was not a threat to luffy, its just that he was threatening fishman island, even Doflamingo wasnt as strong as Gear4 luffy, he just had more mastery of his powers. Katakuri was stronger, had more mastery of his DF, had future sight and had more years of fighting prowess. That was the wall that luffy needed to get actually stronger. The same thing happened with Kaido

Jotaro literally can't damage him, he's immune to blunt damage because of rubber, immune to cutting attacks without haki and can restart his heart with g5 of jotaro tries to stop it. Also literal future sight, luffy would see the result of any damage done in timestop before it happens and get out of range because his travel speed is much faster than any jojos

Its.... really weird how that works, but basically just think of the higher reaction speeds and higher movement speeds as the stand's thing more than the user's.

Just so you know, Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy are all basically FTL just after Thriller Bark. Kuma’s paw emission attacks were stated to shoot out at light speed and Zoro managed to dodge a few. Just an FYI

That doesn't make them FTL at that point just yet. Pre timeskip, zoro, sanji and luffy are able to dodge lightspeed attacks (paw paw fruit attacks and the light beams from the pacifistas), but its not by much and not easy at that point. Its kind of how you'd likely be able to move out of the way of a baseball being thrown right at you from a distance at high speeds, but you yourself aren't as fast as the baseball. In post timeskip however, those 3 and even chopper are much more capable of dodging lightspeed attacks. And we have an actual character that is at least stated to be lightspeed in Niji, who the monster trio are definitely faster than lol. And then they all get much faster in the very next arc, so its fair to assume they are faster than light by now lol

While that's probably true for most, they were still given plenty of information from the video to at least come up with an idea of how things would work between the two. There are probably still some important details, but I don't think anyone is completely oblivious. And I can't really be too sure if you've seen Jojo. For me, I've only been out here correcting info specifically about jojo or the theoretical aspects of it in comparison to the other shows or our real world. And many people are trying to do the same from both sides, this just feels like a disregard for the input of others.

Its a manga problem in general because how can you show that a character is able to react to something if you can draw 1 panel at a time. The biggest example is Kid Goku, who could see dodge and deflect lasers but still needed to use the Kinto'un (the golden cloud) to move from one part of the world to another, which he wouldnt need to do if he could actually move at the speed of light. The same happens with "Z" goku, the first time lightspeed could be actually considered is against freezer where he goes from one side of namek to where vegeta and freeza are in probably a second. But even after that there are so many times in DB where its painfully obvious that the so called "FTL+" characters are not able to travel and move constantly at that speed (i mean even if you dont consider the author forgetting most feats, like goku not remembering to use teleportation when trying to fuse with Ultimate Gohan and deciding to launch the potara, which would be billions of times slower). Speed in comics is always done wrong even in the Flash comics, in which its practically the only thing that should be taken into consideration, they arent able to remember how truly fast the characters are. So anyone who uses MFTL+/FTL or any other measure is extrapolating a measure that doesnt work that way. In most cases at least, of course there exist characters that truly are faster than light even in comics, but most of the time they are also gods that have constant feats by themselves that show how truly fast they are, and dont need the comparative feats of other characters

But they never show any actual feat of that speed, even jotaro moving in stopped time can only move a normal speed when time is stopped which means he isnt faster than light, he can just stop time... Those are two different things completely. Also reaction speed and actual speed are extremely different, we as humans (and by extension most human characters in stories) can react to things moving thousands of times faster than we can. Saying that since a character reacted to lighspeed things they can move at that speed is a jump in logic

Well haki as a power system gets stronger as one fights with it more and one goes against people with stronger haki, along with ones own will power. So, even though luffy does not get that much physically stronger from fishman island to wci, his haki and endurance does get stronger, he does have obs haki even before he just upgrades to future sight due to fights with katakuri

All Stand in itself scales to each other making all of them near light speed so even before gaining MIH pucci was probably MFTL(still slower then jotaro) with C-MOON After gaining MIH Pucci both started accelerating in means of both actual speed and reaction speed which made him catch up and then completely outspeed Jotaro. (And btw you probably wrote the numbers without thinking about it but 2000km/s is near 7 times the speed of light so even that would be probably faster then Jotaro xd)

Zoom punch is kinda underwhelming overall, since the range only increases by a few inches. Star finger likely has higher range than zoom punch, but not on the level of Luffy's attacks. If you want range, Gappy, Johnny, or GER's Life laser are your guy.

Honestly Zoro should take this without much issue. One of the best speed feats Polnareff has in the series is being able to cut hanged man while its in its light form, but its not as impressive as where Zoro is implied to be. Polnareff definitely has great speed that should scale high in One Piece, but the reason he was able to hit Hanged Man was because he knew the trajectory (And I'm not just pulling that from assumption or something, we know that was the intent of the series because the trajectory was mentioned as a part of it). Zoro has been able to at the very least aim dodge lightspeed attacks since thriller bark (kuma's paw paw attacks and the pacifista lasers are explicitly stated to be light speed), and he's much faster post timeskip. And then Zoro's senses and abilities grow even further during wano (mainly onigashima). In short, Zoro should be faster and have better reaction time than Polnareff at this point, and Zoro's attack potency is way higher than anything we have seen Polnareff do. Zoro should take this.

I would like to mention the fact regarding Jotaro Kujo's ability to stop time-well, correct me if I am wrong. My point is that attack potency might just be considered infinite while inside time stop. This is because K.E. (kinetic energy) depends on time through this equation: K.E. = 1/2 mv². If we assume stopping the time, the term for "time" would essentially be nil and the velocity term essentially infinity. Then the kinetic energy-or by extension, Jotaro's attack potency-and everything else will become infinite. Further, in order for something to be "sharper", it needs a smaller area of contact and a greater force applied. So, if the force Jotaro had applied during the time stop was infinite, the pressure would have also been infinite and, thus, his attacks would be infinitely sharp, bypassing all the defense and durability. That is, he can defeat Luffy easily; though the levels of power portrayed are much more extreme than anything that has been witnessed in the series. In summary, Jotaro cooks luffy

People point to how dio is able to just punch holes in people, but thats not just something we see him doing lol. And if that were the logic the series intended for us to operate by (and author's intent is one of the most important things in discussions like these because it lets you know where you're meant to draw the line when thinking of these abilities and feats), then the knives DIO throws at any enemy that doesn't also have time hax should just go right through them instead of just stabbing them. GER would prevent Luffy from doing anything against Giorno; ACT 4, it's just over if you're hit by it; and the same goes for Go Beyond. This is being as non-biased as possible, and I wish the description of these was hyperbole. ACT 4 is quite literally infinite power that essentially binds to the target's soul while (literally) ripping open multi-dimensional defense/attempts to escape it. Go Beyond was needed to defeat a literal embodiment of the concept of logic and reason that killed anyone that attempted to go after it.
