As a 10-year retail work 'veteran', I make a bittersweet game out of betting which toys in our toy aisle will get clearanced or sent to Ollie's. Our store reduced the Lightyear toys 90%, and I picked up some cheap modding fodder for my 40k Miniatures. If this stuff is destined for the trash bin, I at least like to play with cheap toys and make something custom.

I remember finding at Ollies some lego Harry Potter activity book for 3 dollars. It included a Sirius Black minifig with wand. I looked up that particular fig, saw that it went for 15 dollarrs on Ebay and bought every book they had. I managed to flip 200 dollars into something like a couple thousand. It just took a few months.

I started a small collection of WWE figures in the early 2000's. They were dope. I have a Mick Foley Cactus Jack figure. If you pull back the rubber hair, you see that the figurine only has half of one ear. That was the ear that Mick lost in a match in Japan years prior. Mad respect for the attention to that detail.

Also the MOTU stuff is random and not too many core characters so you still have to pre-order or one automatically buy them on site. As for a Skeletor, the figure I would recommend right now Masterverse Skeletor with Havoc Throne or the Cartoon Collection Skeletor.

I will admit when it comes to Marvel Legends the one I am genuinely very looking forward to and buying day one is Rom The Spaceknight, he’s such an underrated character who doesn’t have enough merchandise, also looking forward to getting more of the Jada Street Fighter figures as well as the upcoming Neca Michelangelo 2012 figure since I loved the 2012 TMNT reboot.

Personally "Troop Builders" from the Infinity Saga are a better direction for Legends at this point imo. The Outriders two pack and potentially Asgardians, Chitauri, Dark Elves, Sakaarans, and then maybe a worthwhile Haslab like one of those Space Whales like 3ft long in the future. Actually have me a bit excited and want to give Hasbro at least some of my money. There's almost 12 versions of each mainstay and counting on average with the most obscure being thrown in to beef up the line up, which is why they all end up at Ollie's now. If the Outriders end up at Ollie's though I'm definitely raiding the 3 store around in my area!

Just today my co-worker and I were lamenting as we were rearranging the toy department over the unsold Disney crap that's taking up space from the toys that are selling. We also spent a good part of the day dusting off the blister packets of thirty Admiral Holdo figures, along with the scores of Elemental's we're stuck with.. We also moaned when our latest truck dropped off four more huge boxes of Legends figures, but only one small box of Dr. Henry Jones Sr, which are flying off the shelves. Interestingly enough, my co-worker is female and the age demographic Disney is seeking to endear to their product, and she hates the stuff as much as I do!

Well,some of it sells. The Star Wars Mission Fleet stuff sold. Got cleaned out at Christmas. Then they got more in. As for how much ends up at Ollie's,well,it really depends on if the supply out paces the demand. The Star Wars/Marvel stuff way out paced the demand. Which was nearly zero. But any line can fall to that folly. Freakly,if they're going back to the arcade game to sell X-Men toys,it just says bad things. All the profit is in the past. That they killed. Because they had to. I don't know why they had to but they did. He-Man's pretty dead too. I got the Mega toys and I'm pretty happy with those. And that line seems to be winding down. Which sucks. Never was much of a wrestling fan so I got no dog in that fight. Batman stuff? The most interesting to me are TAS Batwing and Harley looks good. I wish they'd made her fully articulated,tho. Already have all the Batman I need tho. Especially at 5POA. I don't know why companies are so married to 5POA when there's been better options for decades. The Street Fighter stuff is ok,but I'm more into mini-figs than big figs these days. Take up less space. The pink Chun Li is cute tho. Always was a sucker for a girl in pink. I like Beetlejuice but I'm not buying Neca. No thank you. I also have the Mega TMNT toys. And they're amazing. So I'm not buying Neca. Did you know Mega,back when it was Mega Bloks,did a whole bunch of Marvel characters? I got the 97 Wolverine they made back in the day. It's awesome too. When did we stop trying to be awesome?
