Absolutely, but it's important to remember that we don't merely use body language to supplement verbal language - the two are intrinsically intertwined. Our body language influences our speech, just as our speech influences our body language. They are not separate activities, but rather a synchronized performance. People may shy away from using their bodies as tools for expression because they're simply not accustomed to it. Nonverbal communication can be as layered and nuanced as verbal communication, and in some cases, even more so. It's akin to learning a second language. Just as we don't consciously scrutinize every word that slips off our tongues - unless we're discussing something unfamiliar or under stress - the same applies to our body language. As we grow more comfortable with nonverbal expression, and thereby expand our nonverbal 'vocabulary', this process becomes second nature. You might even find it begins to impact your tone, volume, and pace, acting like an inbuilt metronome. And let's not forget, physically shifting your body can have direct effects on your physiological state. Constant movement can increase blood flow and core temperature, while slower movements can boost focus and blood pressure. Likewise, open gestures can enhance respiratory function, while more closed, focused movements may concentrate your vocal output. For example, when I'm talking to someone over the phone, I find myself needing to walk around or at least stand. There's no denying that some of these actions may seem exaggerated, but they are rooted in truth. Public speaking is indeed a full body exercise. Otherwise, why would we bother presenting in person rather than just playing a pre-recorded audio file on an empty stage?

Interesting how the wording also influences how his message is received: In the first bit he draws the attention to the negative aspects and tesults: "YOU (!) HAVE to learn".. "otherwise you won't be able to.. " In the second bit he focuses more on the positive aspects. He will lead through this and WE (!) will achieve something good. That's very eye opening actually.

Body language plays a part in speech that’s why so many voice actors if you see them behind the scenes are still physically acting it’s near impossible to get that level of emotion or get the right tone without body language it’s impossible to voice act and sound genuinely mad when you’re not physically acting mad idk what it is whether it’s psychological or just smth with how he we speak and how different body movements influence emotion but it’s a real thing you can look up for yourself
@lexbustamante757
@lexbustamante757 9 ай бұрын
@@TitankroW What about the speech? You can use body language with out tone and emphasizing words. You can do it without body language, it is not required, you can look it up also. It just make it seem more like music in a movie seen. A seen can seem scary just by the music alone yet the same seen can seem like lovers. Also lighting and shadowing has it part not just music all this to say body language is like music its not the main thing it is one of many different elements and variables that take part and play into a bigger picture.

The premise of this extent is to expose yourself, your inner thoughts to the physical world as much as you can through expressions. Just expose yourself to the outer world. Not to keep those utter burdens in yourselves for being unexpressive. Express your inner things including your thoughts and expressions, split it out. To make yourself light which is essential for giving much energy to the world with which we're interacting. It makes you look determined and real in your conversations too.

im not trying to dispute that body language is important but i actually observed a noticeable difference in speech between both examples. I think its possible that not only does body language enhance your speach, it also is a sign to yourself that you are comfortable and confident and you feel at ease and more lively. perhaps the effects of body language are magnified because the people who are comfortable with their body language tend to also be more confident.
