For vegans that like to cook in the kitchen, I think it's very important that we have more unseasoned base protein products on store shelves or in the freezer aisle, and more innovation for those types of products, especially, for all the vegans that want to be chefs in the kitchen, so were not always trying to transform tofu, although tofu is very versatile, and I do love cooking with tofu. I can see a lot of vegans not always wanting to go for pre-seasoned products, and requiring protein base products, so they can make their own creations in the kitchen. I will say, I have tried many of the ready-to-eat chicken replacement products here, and I have enjoyed them on occasion, and they are good, especially the Gardein Ultimate line of products. One thing I did not see up there, is the Gardein Ultimate Chicken Patties, which is great for making chicken sandwiches, for those that like less breading, and more chicken flavor. Much love to all of the innovators, that developed these products, so much heart went into each product here, and thank you to The Vegan View, for showcasing these products, this exactly how we can popularize healthy eating. 🐥

Quorn is so good! I haven't had the grilled version you all tried, but they have patties that are already "breaded" and flavored (spicy patty is life.) Highly recommend The View tries those before giving up on Quorn.

All of the Gardein Ultimate products are BOMB. Those popcorn nuggies are amazing in a vegan “KFC” bowl. The Alpha nuggets and Morningstar nuggets (& Morningstar popcorn chickn as well) are in my top faves too!

YESSS! Those Gardein Ultimates are SPOT ON! I actually still like the ancient grain tenders though, especially the Nashville Hot version....the grains and oats are enjoyable to me. Have yall had Daring chicken? I can only find it at Sprouts (not sure if yall have those), but it is a great "grilled chicken" replacement and truly replicates the real texture and has such a good flavor!

I love the Gardein Ultimate! ❤️ I also really like the daring chicken for things like BBQ chicken pizza, and in pasta dishes or salads where you don’t want the heavier breading. Daring also has a lemon herb flavor that is amazing for Mediterranean themed meals. 😊

Gardein already had the best vegan chicken patties which were 10/10 and now they came out w ultimate chicken patties (they call them filets I Think) so I'm excited to try all the ultimate products b/c I've yet to try any

Such a fun episode! I love the Gardein Ultimate you! I love making a vegan crispy chicken with their filets. I serve it on a toasted bun with reduced fat Vegenaise and pickle, or vegrnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes. Those fast food dead chicken sandwiches got nothing on the Gardein Ultimate in a sandwich! Thank for another great show!

Great video. Just so you know Morningstar Farms makes a great vegan chicken and buffalo chicken patty as does Quorn and Boca. I see a lot of vegan chicken patties at my local store.

The gardein ultimate popcorn chicken with some Panda Express orange chicken sauce (accidentally vegan) and broccoli with a side of rice is heavennnnnn!!! And I use the tenders in wraps with follow your heart ranch and cheddar shreds and lettuce to make old school Mcdonald snack wraps which use to be my favorite thing ever! I literally had snack wraps every day for lunch for a week when I tried the gardein ultimate tenders. Sooo yum!! And the filets make bomb chicken parm sandwiches.

I wish y’all could review Better Chew’s new chicken nuggets. Wonder if it’s just in the Bay Area. They are so good and don’t use any weird ingredients, basically tofu just masterfully done. Great video btw, i bought the ultimate chicken tenders and if I got it from a restaurant I would send them back they are so realistic! However I prefer Better Chew, bc I don’t personally want realistic, I want whole foods minimally processed as possible.

You guys are all adorable !! Gardein is the very best brand when it comes to fake chicken things & even seafood, meat alternative( including beef & pork !! ) ,you should try their fish & chips & my no.1 fave crab cakes !!! 😍 Trader Joe's isn't that tasty when it comes to sweets & vegan faux meat alternatives compared to others ,also they weren't vegan friendly til recently really !! I love Trader Joe's, don't get me wrong ,I appreciate their prices & organic produces & hummus !!! I am not a vegan anymore ,but still eat mainly vegan ,I eat eggs ( organic & cage free & the one is really " cage free " ! ) .Amy's is another my all time fave for decades!! Hi lady’s and Jared, I have only tried the gardein chicken less tenders and to be perfectly honest I would rate them a 5 out of 10. It wasn’t my favorite. My sister mentioned that Trader Joe’s has a meatless chicken nugget with a sauce and she’s a fan of those I have yet to try them, but for sure i can find this gardein ultimate chicken nuggets or tender I will try them.

Just a gentle reminder that a lot of non-vegans with soy or wheat allergies don't know that vegans don't need to eat soy or gluten. I know I had no idea that vegans more often relied on beans for protein. So, it might not always be an excuse, but instead just lack of understanding. That was at least the case for me.

I agree. I am vegan with a soy sensitivity. I will say I do miss the convenience of tofu/tempeh, but I often eat a loooot of beans/chickpeas/lentils/etc.

I will admit that those new Ultimate Chicken tenders are good and taste exactly like chicken but for that same reason I quickly got burnt out on them. I always HATED the taste of chicken so I actually prefer the grain tasting ones 😂.
