Y do u string your guitar with the strings over the stoptail? Is it for tone reasons because i too have a les paul and am curious. Thanks

I actually string it that way to help minimize string breakage - A far as I can tell, I don't think it really changes the tone at all, so that is why I do that...

How do you get this tone on your amp ? I like its crunchiness and it goes with a lot rock songs.

It is the same chords as the verse, a-min., a-min./g, d-7/f#, f Maj., a-min., G, D, E - repeat then at the end of the second time you do-G, C, E and the last note of the solo is over the change to A MAJ. - where the vocals come back ..

What amp are you using? I noticed that you're using the bridge PU and you don't have the tone rolled off at all and yet you sound like Eric. When I'm playing Clapton style and I want to get his sound I'm always turning the tone knob to 1 or 0 and I'm using my neck PU. I have a Gibson LP as well.
