So I really wanted to start today on my first mixed media. Bought some nude color acrylics, a booklet of scrapbooking paper, matte mod podge (couldn't find matte medium) and of course I forgot a canvas. So I cut cardboard lol. Just finished putting the ripped paper on the cardboard. Super cute already. I didn't want to wait until I had all the needed items... When you want to create there's no waiting! Love your videos!

Hi Karen, your painting is very beautiful. Those colours! Man, they are amazing. I also use Lukas Cryl Studio paints, because they are very good quality for the price you pay. Especially, if you take the amount of paint into account. Although I would like to try Golden paints, I can't afford to pay 17 € for a 60 ml tube. I'd rather buy three Lukas bottels in 250 ml for 18 € :) It is a very cool idea to use the watercolour crayons after you applied acrylics - I will definetley try it. Those Pitt pens also look very interesting, I will try them out soon!

Gorgeous Girl! Got those crayons in all colors - yes they are fabulous; gallon of Mod Podge, and Pitt markers and I’m ready to go.😂. Playing with white pen at the end should come with a warning: highly addictive! The eyes of my girls almost always come up with that cat look - it had to be the fashion illustration classes. I really have to put effort not to do it, but then again, drama make-up - awesome 🙌🎨💕😄

I use paint so often that the only paper I ever buy is watercolor paper. The only exception is when I make Christmas cards - I will make a picture on watercolor paper then glue it onto a mixed media paper base. I didn't do that before, and I found the card was warped. I also like the way you tore the paper before gluing the pieces. Looks more interesting.

Yes, that's right! It's a random kids painting tool! I don't think there's an official name for it, just a fun, silly, spongy, swirly thing!

Karen Campbell, Artist I’ve received them! I love them but one thing I noticed when taking a photo of the final piece, you see the market streaks so clearly! I don’t like that. I never experienced that this bad. I made sure to do the strokes nice and neat going in one direction and they still showed in the photo. How can I prevent this? I used mixed media bee paper so is the paper quality the problem? Thank you!

Karen Campbell, Artist I did an illustration on my Super Deluxe Mixed Media Bee Paper 6in. x 6in. Bee Paper Sketchbook. It’s 93lbs. 150gsm paper. Acid free. Natural white sheet. Medium rough surface. Excellent for wet and dry media... That’s all the information that’s on the cover. I feel it’s not the best for wet media though like watercolors. It’s terrible for it. Only dry or ink works. And I thought these markers would too.

How are the marabu art crayons different from neo ii's other than light fastness?

Marabus are just like Gelatos whereas Neo Color IIs aren’t finger blendable like the other two and are a true artist grade art supply.
